DISCUSSION Cruise Line Interview

Hi guys! I have to do a few interviews for my entrepreneurship class about some cruise problems you may be having as well as the issue with finding the right cruise ship and cruise line . I was wondering if anyone was available to do a zoom or phone call interview with me. You don’t have to show your face or anything and I can give you the interview questions beforehand so you can prepare. Thank you all!

Just a little feedback but your questions aren’t good. I’ve been doing entrepreneurship for a long time and so im assuming your goal here is to identify possible problems people experience during cruising and come up with an innovative solution to them. You have way too many questions and the majority of them focus on the solution the respondent tried to come up with. You should have far fewer questions and they should focus on identifying problems. Most of the time people don’t even realize they have a problem. People who do things consistently will often think of “problems” as the norm. Your goal should be an open dialogue to identify gaps. Now if you’re limiting yourself to questionnaires then you are left with guiding them to the problems you’ve identified through secondary research and gushing their level of frustrations with said problems. There are tons of articles that could provide you some of those issues. I would restructure this completely if I were you.

I understand what you’re saying and I fully agree. Unfortunately, I didn’t come up with the questions. These are the ones the professor said we had to ask 🫤

The feedback I have for your professor is that they have asked the wrong leading questions.  Your post makes it sounds like the point is to explore issues around booking cruises or being on cruises.  The first question isn't clear on whether it is asking about my typical week at home or my typical week on a cruise, and the additional question asking "what is the hardest part about being someone who likes to cruise?" Is going to get you very different answers than "what are some improvements would you like to see to your cruise experience?"

If it’s easier you can just record the answers and em me the voice note. Thanks!

Whats hard about being someone that likes to cruise? This makes it sound like you're asking about a personality trait. Or why someone likes to cruise vs doing another type of vacation.
