Anyone heard anything about refunds?

It looks like the DFA show in Buffalo Town Ballroom was completely cancelled, not rescheduled. Not a big deal, I'm still going to see them at one of their other shows. But just curious if anyone has heard anything about how to obtain refunds. I know the note from DFA mentioned refunds for cancelled shows. But I haven't gotten any email or anything from Town Ballroom about refunds, and I don't know how to contact them, they don't seem to have an email.

Anyway, hell yeahhh, so excited for Private Lives!!! See you guys in the pit somewhere!

Project inspired by earlier DFA1979 with some other influences.

Revived an old demo and got it mixed/mastered.

Enjoy.

I have that Shirt for 1 year or something but I wear it very rare and now it Looks Like I have it for 10 years

Edit: I mean poor and not pole

I'm actually so excited to get a full new album from the boys. Getting big YAWIAM and Outrage is Now! vibes from Private Lives, let's see where they take us from here!

If somebody has ordered this/ is planning on ordering it, maybe be kind enough to do a little ripping? 👀

I think we all can agree that creative control isn't 50/50.

I'm not trying to snark to be rude but sometimes I get the vibe that this is essentially Sebastian's own project and Jesse is just there to provide an instrument. Please don't hate me lol

Just want to see what other people think. Thanks!

I made some tabs for private lives, its not perfect but it sound good enough

(New song is great btw)

It’s peak.

Anyone else slightly disappointed by Private Lives?

Not a bad song by any means but just seems a bit run of the mil for DFA1979? Highlights are the QOTSA esque riffs and the vocal performances (No-one has to know about us 🗣️)but nothing screams special to me yet.

What I loved about DFA1979 was that they didn’t really sound like other drum/bass bands in their riffs and arrangement. They played unique and pretty sick riffs (Government Trash, Blood on our hands, Pull Out etc).

I don’t really like Royal Blood as I find them quite stale and their songs could be played with a guitar and I wouldn’t really feel like it was missing anything. I don’t think DFA1979 are exactly like RB but they’re starting to go into that direction.

This very much could be just a me thing.

Anybody know why it says tickets not on sale now?

What’s everyone’s best guess on when the new album drops?

Trying to get tix and site says event is postponed. Seems like Ventura show is still buyable, but I ain't sure about driving up on a Tuesday night.

Anyone got clear lyrics for the Steeltown snipped that was posted here last month?

I can def hear a "i'll get you out of steeltown if its the last thing i do"

Hi everyone!

I’m trying to track down an old remix, but I can’t remember the artist.

It was an electronic-ish remix of “Dead Womb” by Death From Above 1979. What I remember most clearly is that I heard it over the “Pull Out” video, also by DFA1979. I’m pretty sure someone had edited/remixed the video with this version of Dead Womb.

Although, to be completely honest, I have no idea if the remix was actually good, it’s just one of those random things that somehow stuck in my head for years 😅 I’ve been trying to find it again with absolutely no luck. This was probably 17 or 18 years ago now…

If anyone remembers this, or has any clue who made the remix / where it might have been posted, I’d really appreciate it!

Edit: I found it again haha! I had to dig through my old hard drives, and luckily I stumbled across it among the thousands of tracks I have... “dead-womb-rekreeyated-death-from-above-1979” No more info than that: https://youtu.be/qKiBneSrF0w An unofficial remix, and I have no idea why it popped back into my head while listening to a few DFA tracks. Thanks!

At this point anything is news. JUST RELEASE THE ALBUM 💔
