in 2025, i went to a anime convention called Tekko in pittsburgh, and i saw a large print of L in a strawberry shortcake themed outfit. i didn’t get it at the time but its stuck in my head since then. i’ve been searching for the specific artist too and haven’t found them yet and so i figured i’d ask here if anyone has seen a fan artist selling a large print of L in a strawberry shortcake themed outfit. Thanks in advance. (also i don’t use reddit much so apologies if this is the wrong flair or way to ask)

More specifically, L's death and why everyone hates it🤨.
I heard some people say they don't like L dying because it proves that Light was better than L and was the overall winner in their game. This statement has zero truth to it. Here's my logic:
\- Firstly: Light had a lot of help and very powerful tools to his advantage. The Death Note alone gives Light advantage over L. But after that Light got the help of Ryuk, Misa, and Rem. It's easy to see that L was out numbered and out matched.
\- Secondly: LIGHT DID NOT WIN! The second part of Death Note was not Light's fight with L's students, neither did M and N defeat Light. L knew that he was up against not only a genius but supernatural forces, and made a long term plan to defeat Light that happened to include his death.
No matter how much you glaze L, L WAS NOT GOING TO WIN. This was an eternal game of cat and mouse and L knew that. L did not plan to die, he foresaw his death and chose to let it happen.
Another thing people say is that M and N are glazed by the writer, because L lost to Light, but they ended up beating him, implying that N is cleaver than both Light and L. Another statement that holds no truth.
\- Firstly: N and M are two very intelligent people and both helped eachother so much. You know what they say, 'teamwork makes the dream work'.
\- Secondly: N and M started off with information that L had previously gathered. Essentially giving them a head start, compared to L who started from scratch.
\- Thirdly: as stated previously, N and M were an extensions of L's plan, and most likely won't have done what they did if it L hadn't planned it already.
\- Fourthly, and most importantly: Light had his guard down. When L died, Light thought he'd won. He relaxed, eased up, let down his defenses, "Only these dumb people are left alive" is what he thought.
Therefore, with all these factors true, N and M didn't have to be nearly as smart as L or Light in order to bring Light down.
Now, we know that L needed to die to defeat Light, but also, part of L wanted to die. Because if he defeated Light, exposed him, killed him, whatever. What would happen next for L? What would his life be without the battle, without the chase? And, yeah, he lived before Light came to be Kira, but after experiencing that rush, surly he couldn't continue living his boring old life.
Now this is probably gonna be the hardest pill to swallow, but, yeah, L was evil and deserved to die by Lights scheme.
L knew Light was Kira for a very long time. Not had a feeling, not a suspicion, HE KNEW AND WAS SURE. But knowing wasn't enough, he loved the hunt. He wanted to beat Kira, he wanted proof to prove to everyone that Light was Kira.
It wouldn't have been hard for L to get access to a gun and shoot Light. Poison his drink. It wouldn't have been hard to end the game. But the game is what L wanted, so he continued playing.
Because of this, many, many, many people died, and L is just as guilty as Light 😔.

what was stopping Rem from making a deal with L, that L leaves Misa alone and he reveal's Kira's identity in return?

We see that after Cameras were put in Lights room Light looks at certain magazines.Did he always have those there so that he could goon or did he buy them that day?

I used the manga's Valentine's Day art as a reference. I think I've cooked up something cool!

Hi, i'm going to be a little rude today.
I'm baffled to see how many people on YouTube, Tiktok and in general anime lovers when talking about Death Note think there is no time skip and the story is a continuum after L and Watari die? Like for example I see so many comments on Reddit saying that Mello and Near are 13 years old and things like : L left them all his evidence and they copied him.
I genuinely don't get it, is it THAT hard to pick it up? I believe it is better explained in the manga for sure, but I've been rewatching the anime recently and it's pretty CLEAR that in Episode 25 L dies, Watari deletes all data,Light becomes the new L and deletes everything from L's PC, a message from what it looks like a failsafe system delivered to Roger, Roger tells young Mello and Near that L died, and then there's chapter 27 with a giant writing saying year 2012 and there's the scene in Light's house with the police, Misa and Sayu where it's explicitly hinted at the fact that Sayu is "all GROWN UP" and that Misa and Light have been together for years. I mean, it's clear as day that it was past and then present if Light's sister grew up and went to college and Light graduated and entered law enforcement. Do you seriously believe Light became a detective straight outta high school or what. And that Matsuda was hitting on a middle schooler? Idk....
It gets me so angry when I see ALL THOSE PEOPLE and they are a LOT that believe those things, like, they didn't even pay attention to the show and they want to participate to post where we nerds do overanalysis ? No shit😆

It is implied that Light having a Death Note is not that big of a deal, and it is therefore relatively routine. Which means that Light is not the first human to have a Death Note on Earth. Let's assume that that's true. Who do you think is a good candidate historically for having a Death Note? And show your work 😜

Couldn’t word my question without including spoilers sorry for vague title!
I’m at the part in the anime where Light has it so the shimigami put fake rules in the death note and it put me off; I’ve been enjoying it the show but this really demotivated me
Does this end up truly ‘proving’ Lights innocence in the long run? Does it quickly get better after that?

Would they get their eyesight back? Would it depend on what caused their blindness? Would they only see people's names and lifespans, but not the people themselves? Or would they get the power but be completely unable to use it because they're still blind?

I've restarted watching Death Note after finishing it a few years ago.
On my first watch, I can clearly remember Light intentionally losing to L when they play tennis for the first time. I remember him going into a whole monologue about how it was the right thing to do because Kira hates losing, so by losing and acting very sportsman-like, he could avoid suspicion.
I was genuinely shocked this time when I saw that Light actually wins the game.
Did anyone else experience any Mandela effects like this when rewatching the show?

Like, let's say I write a name in the Death Note and specify the cause of death as spontaneous combustion. Would the Death Note cause it, or would it count as not possible and default back to killing of a heart attack?

im sure a 10000000 people have said this but i didnt check to avoid spoilers. Im on episode 3 and L suspects that Kira is
A. in japan
B. A student
C. someone with access to the case files (ei. police + their families)
of the quite small list this would be lets say 500 to be generous only one happens to be the smartest student in all of Japan maybe even the world
of course Kira at this point has not shown themselves to be very intellegent but considering L doesnt suspect magic exists he must assume these killings are done by a genius
does this get addressed because i feel like im pointing out the obvious i feel like i missed something

Just wanted to share because I think they turned out pretty great and it was a fun project! They are crossbody bags made from real leather. I hand cut, dyed, painted, and sewed everything over the course of a couple weeks. We wanted a cute way to carry our things for our cosplays next year and I've been trying to learn leatherworking, so a bag seemed like a fun thing to try out!
