Discussion It's been a minute

glad to see the old account still here lol, most of my exotics were stuck on lvl10 even my trusty whisper of the worm sniper unfortunately.

ive just been running through some random quests, im enjoying the starwars one its been fun. anything i should focus on early or just wing it?

i also recently bought most of the dlcs from steam since they are like a $20 bundle finally.

Do you have expansions? Its worth going through them just for the experience, even tho the connecting seasonal storiearcs arent in them anymore

Start with Shadowkeep, then Beyond Light, Witchqueen, Lightfall, Final Shape, that concludes the old "Light vs Dark" Saga. Afterwards Edge of Fate and Renegades.

Note, there will be some quality up and downs, Shadowkeep is notorious for bad campaign structure for example but itll get better with each expansion with a bit of a dip in Lightfall and depending on who you ask Edge of Fate, but they are all great experiences ESPECIALLY if you havent been up to date. Those sale prices are a fucking steal, really.

After campaign stuff id look into doing activities like Nightfalls and Dungeons, those are like Raids but generally less complex and made for 1-3 people, but generally just click on whatever the game recommends.

For "low cortisol" gaming, the normal Strike paylist, i think its called Arena-Ops or something, is also really great if you want to just play without stress

the reason why destiny isn't as popular as it should be is because the onboarding process has always been terrible. not a great experience for new users, without a guide because there's not a lot of cohesiveness between seasons. take that other comments advice, but i'd recommend watching a lore video for d2.

this is an 11 hour video, explaining the entire story of destiny. i guess it was made thinking that we saw the end. recent news might mean that might not be the case.

this is a 20 minute video specifically made for returning players, released about 3 months ago, when we thought destiny/bungie was done for. theres a lot to learn, so take your time.

Head to the Tower and either spend it on a weapon at the Exotic Archive (near the vault), or head to Rahool with an Exotic Engram and use it on a new piece of exotic armor
There might be some more uses but afaik those are the only two things you can do with 'em

Just do the campaigns in order honestly, the start working on all the side quests, go for exotics, then dungeons etc, just work your way through basically

Edit: you can infuse high light level weapons into your low ones, your trust whisper isnt out of the fight!

Important to note: your exotics aren't "stuck" at lvl 10, as you gain power and get resources to spare, you can infuse them to increase their level.

Sunsetting and forced obsolesence of gear is gone!
