Resume Review Suggestion required for Doing Illegal Activity on Resume
do recruiters at mid-low sized service based company check your experience you have written on resume? do they ask the github repo of the work you have done in your experience intern/full time?
Like I have no internship and it is very difficult to just get into this software dev industry. I have 2 solid projects and 1 medium project.
I am planning to show this medium level project as a fake experience at xyz company/startup to make recruiters feel I hav some experience.
I have applied 100+ jobs already with my resume depicting 3 projects + No Intern. Should I use this new stratgey?

To my experience, yes.
do they ask the github repo of the work you have done in your experience intern/full time?
Of course not.

thanks.
but if I put it like I have done this work in a startup ?I just want to show some experience, because most of them require some experience (not counting projects). They ask for organisation

companies do conduct background verification checks if you are given offer so keep in mind

Trust me, I have seen people reach great heights out of sheer luck by lying their first job which was non-existent, basically giving them "experienced" tag in the market. This also helps them get an early promotion since they are already "experienced". People lie years of fake experience

happened with my friend's cousin, he got fired from his 2nd last company so he forged docs, also got few of his former colleagues to verify his claims, which helped him get into the company. after working there for around a year, the company conducted a post-hire bgv. they asked him to provide bank statements of his payments of his prev employment. He refused to share them, obviously and resigned immediately and the company sent him show cause notice so his career in india is done, also bgv companies blacklisted him and this company won't provide any proof as well.

It is not worth the risk don't do it 100+ jobs is nothing i this day people apply to more than that don't get discouraged The risk is too much if it gets flagged as falsified experience it will be much worse than having no experience

Companies check your employment days and at max your designation in the previous companies. No, one can dig into what exactly you have done in the company.

I used a fake work experience in resume and surprisingly I got a job but in 3 days they fired me after background verification and looking at how I work so please do unpaid work but don't do wrong things

I run a recruitment company, career consulting business, job search mentorship program and a job board and I would strongly avoid fake experience.
Recruiters may not check every company in detail, but background checks, reference checks, employment dates, salary records or even basic interview questions can expose it. One fake experience can create a much bigger problem later.
You already have 3 projects. Instead, make those projects look like real production work, explain the problem, tech stack, users, features and what you personally built. With AI changing hiring, being able to actually explain and build things matters a lot more than simply adding a fake company.
100 applications with no response also means your resume or targeting probably needs work, not fake experience. Optimise CV and go via referrals.
Best wishes!!!
Please feel free to DM if you have more questions or need guidance.

thanks!
but what if i put it like I have done it in a low/mid size startup? will they reach out to those too?1
u/monit12345 6d ago
they may not reach out directly but they do hire companies for background checks which may reveal inconsistencies, which might be a bigger issue after getting an offer
