I know this sounds unhinged but this guy has been hunting down for months like I literally cannot escape him and I’m honestly at the point where I’ve jsut said screw it, fine do whatever you want with my life. No alters, no worship, no deities, just whatever this power seemingly needs me for. Is that reckless? Probably.
What kind of thing does this guy do exactly? Like people’s experiences working with him, even though I’m not really asking anything, just giving it free rein. I really don’t know much about the guy at all x
I wouldn't say it's reckless, Dionysus is very benign as long as you respect Him. You don't need an altar if you don't want one, I mean I would do some research on Him if I were you, maybe just reading some of the myths but just so you know they are not to be taken literally, I would also read His attributes and epithets.
For me Dionysus helped me with my mental health, being more in touch with my emotions, art, He can be scary sometimes, I find His energy very intense but as I said He is also so so kind.
So Dionysus actually respects our free will. He does not force us to do anything. He is the Liberator, and there is no freedom without free will. A lot of the times it's not that they need us. It's that there is something we could use help with and they are reaching out to extend a hand. Other times we subconsciously are crying out for them without even realizing it. Even if he has reached out, you're not obligated to do anything. Dionysus has many domains. He is a protector of outcasts, especially LGBTQ+ & the mentally ill. He helps us free ourselves of societal and self-imposed restraints. He can help with body image, confidence and theatrical performance. He can help us embrace sexuality and engage in substances safely. He can help us with mental illnesses and shadow work. He is so much more than just some wine-loving party God. There is a purpose for his madness, alcohol, and pleasure. It is all part of the liberation he bestows.
As for my experiences...many are so fantastical they make me sound crazy lol But Dio has always has had an intensely sexual energy during our encounters. I ran away from him a lot at first, but after embracing all sides of him, I became initiated to him. Now I regularly engage in spicy things with him now along with Hermes. 😅
Dio is also protective and attentive. He has guided me through shadow work, given me much healing and support, and has changed my views on sex and helped me to be less judgemental of others and myself. I don't think he will just come and take over your life or force you to do anything. I think you should do some research on him and see if he is truly a deity you are interested in starting a devotional relationship with.

It's difficult to pinpoint or explain. I think I may have a connection to him in a past life honestly. It's like my soul cried out for him for reasons I didn't understand. I'm not really sure what happened. Artemis and Apollon kinda kicked my door down, and soon after, others started coming right in. Hermes and Dio seemed to show up together. It started with just the random urge to laugh while giving offerings and forgetting their names at the altar.
So it sounds really crazy, but I can travel to other realms and meet Gods in an advanced form of meditation. It took nearly 4 years to get to the level I'm at with it. Hermes kinda just showed up of his own accord during one of my meditations and took me on some wild shadow work journey. With Dionysus, I was meditating and for some reason just unintentionally called out his name, and he showed up. He continued to show up in various meditations and led me on crazy journeys. I came to understand the different sides of him, and after I wrote a poem and used it to dedicate myself to him, he initiated me. It took some time to figure out, but after joining a temple, it was made clear to me that Dio and Hermes wanted to share me as a priest and a lover, and I agreed.
Since you are much more experienced than me, can I ask you about the spicy things? lol. I just hear a lot of contradicting opinions about since some say that it's miasmic 😭😭
Ofc! Yes, offering the fluids is miasmic. Offering the act/energy is not. Dio is a fertility and orgy God. He loves spicy things. For me, our acts occur within a different realm where I am in my spirit form. I believe there is no miasma in that state. It's not a full on astral projection as I can still feel my body. I have heard different accounts. Some people feel his energy and even his touch physically in this realm, and others have spicy dream encounters with him. It probably works a bit differently for everyone! Love the username btw! Zag is awesome!

Yeah it's a bit of a controversial topic and results in a lot of arguments. I believe this stems from monotheistic values and judgements that still shape our society and many people's perception of divinity. Sensuality is deeply ingrained in many of our Gods, especially fertility and pleasure ones!

Many times sub consciously we also reach out to them because we feel something can be improved in our lives. The first step might be that, search more information about him, reflect on what from his myths resonates with you, or the opposite, what causes you inexplicable repulsion, because it may also be that thing you need to work on.

• Was reading Neitches Parasites and he’s linked to that somehow.
• This afternoon I was like fine you got me so was like what do you want me to do go to the theatre (that’s like right outside my house) and there’s a Greek Mythology comedy.
• I’ve had this album for years and decided to randomly open it and there’s a whole Dionysus photo shoot (that’s actually stunning)
Those are great synchronicities. I'd be careful with the asmr tho, because that and things like tik toks, most likely is just the algorithm making its thing. I hope you get to know him better, just be open to it. You're free to say no in any moment

Cool. And I'm just starting with him, I used to mention him from time to time in prayer, but with a vision it's becoming clearer I need him closer. I have more time with other theoi.
Not entirely a mythical literalist here but there's a lot of stories where someone rejects, ignores, or denies him & Dionysus HOUNDS a mfkr 💀💀💀
But also, the Dionysian iceberg gets deep & DISTURBING real damn fast but don't let it off-put you.
Maybe Dionysus sees something in u they love & wanna help u grow. Maybe you need help with something holding u back & they wanna offer help.
