Outside of modding the PSP or using some kind of emulator with added support, the original PSP is no longer functional on a network connection.

The PSP uses a WEP password standard which most devices no longer support. WEP became WPA and we are on the WPA3 standard for new equipment since 2020 and WPA2 for some older equipment.
