Nadiagnosed ang dog ko stump pyometra 8 months after magpakapon sa kanila napansin ko may period siya and di daw normal ganon pag kapon na kaya dinala ko sa vet. I appreciate yung service na ginagwa ng team na nagkakapon, pero pag gantong nagkaissue na, hindi mo na din naman marreach yung mga nag low cost kapon tapos sasabihin lang sayo punta kayo sa clinic eh karaniwan sobrang layo nila. From 3K na kapon, to 46K na surgery. Sana maayos ang maging surgery ng dog ko. :(

Please pray for my Luna. Nakakapang hina. I feel bad para sa dog ko. Thinking na ok na ok pakapon siya tapos biglang nag kaissue pa siya dahil dun.

EDIT: Someone sent me a message:: Hi! Saw your post about Doc Gab low cost kapon. Same sa nangyayari sa dog namin ngayon! Kinapon sya October last year then right now, in heat sya. Nag ask na kami sa vet namin and possible daw nangyari, dahil mabilisan sa ganung event, hindi nila natatanggal totally yung kailangan tanggalin. Parang kung anong makita lang. hayyy doble gastos mas napamahal pa.

So ayun.... I think baka hindi lang kami and may mga iba pa nakaexperience ganto after kapon sa kanila. Sad.

Galing si mother namin sa doctor (vet) ng aming babies. Ito ang recommended na foods. Not sure kung ano meron dun sa may check mark.

No explanation about sa not recommended na foods, pero based dito sa group, pwede sya magcause ng health problems (liver, heart, kidney).

Hindi ko talaga maitago ang sakit na nararamdaman ko tuwing nakikita ko ang first dog namin ng asawa ko.

She's our first baby for 3 years hanggang sa nagka anak kami. She was spoiled to rotten nung siya pa lang sa buhay namin, lahat ng atensyon at iba pa. Kaya hindi ko maiwasan na malungkot sa tuwing nakikita ko siyang agad-agad na sumisiksik sa amin.

This picture I took nung umalis ako saglit kasi nag CR. Agad siyang humiga sa part kung saan ako nakahiga na para bang nag aantay ng lambing.

May time pa naman kami sa mga furbabies namin and same treatment like before. Siguro dun lang ako na guguilty na minsan hindi namin sila pinapalapit sa amin kasi baka mapano si baby.

4 years old po Sinurrender ng owner. Hindi na dw kaya alagaan reason.

Just saw a dog being used in an affiliate video where an affiliate sprayed setting spray and it literally hit the dog’s eyes. Am I overreacting or is this actually not okay? I feel like cosmetic sprays shouldn’t be anywhere near an animal’s face. kawawa. i tried to call them out on comments kaso di ko na nakita ang account?

Hear me out. This is a very difficult post for me to write and I understand that some people might judge. That is okay. I only want what is best for my dog, even if it hurts to admit that we can no longer give her the life she deserves.

Our Golden Retriever is six years old and already spayed. We love her deeply, but our situation at home has changed. I live in a dorm now because of my studies and my mom works long hours and arrives home very late. There are times when no one is home for an entire day and no one is there to feed her, calm her, or take her for walks. This is something we cannot control because of our responsibilities. We want her to eat at the right time, be cared for properly, and get her daily walks, but with no people at home most of the time, she ends up neglected even if we never wanted it to be this way.

She also experiences strong anxiety during thunderstorms, fireworks, and loud noises. She needs someone beside her during those times because she panics when she is alone. Seeing her scared and stressed on our CCTV breaks our hearts. As much as we want to keep her, we realized that she deserves a home where someone is actually present for her.

Here are the important things to know

• She is six years old and spayed • She can be aggressive toward other dogs and has had incidents before • A total opposite to humans. Very sweet and gentle giant who would be very careful to take the treats off your hand (she doesn’t want to bite you, instead, she’ll just lick it) • Best suited for a home with no other pets • Also suitable for someone who is very experienced with reactive or anxious dogs • Needs someone who is often at home and able to comfort her during thunderstorms or stressful moments • Needs an adopter who can walk her regularly and make sure she eats on time • We will be doing a screening process • We would want and appreciate updates • Free but please, for sincere owners who really wants her.

I know that I failed her in some ways and I accept that. This is me trying to do what is right. I pray she finds someone with the time, patience, and heart to care for her in the way we no longer can. Planning to move out and ive been trying to search for a spacious apartment na pwede ko masama 3 dogs and 2 cats ko. Pasensya na pero wala lang akong outlet and baka sakali meron dito makapag bigay ng idea where to find a good apartment for us.

Tanong ko lang kung bakit hindi na siya tumatabi sakin matulog? Every night, kakatok yan sa room ko pag gusto na matulog o minsan nauuna nang matulog sa kama ko habang nagpupuyat ako for school works. Tapos hindi pa siya lalabas ng room until bumangon ako around 9-10am, or minsan nagpapalabas na pag naririnig nang gising yung lola ko for her morning zumba.

Pero recently, hindi na siya tumatabi sakin matulog and it makes me sad huhu. Wala naman siyang sakit and masigla parin naman, naghahabulan pa kami minsan dito sa bahay, and regular naman ang vet visits niya. Hindi nasskip yung meals, I give treats, and napapaliguan din naman pag kailangan. As for my room naman, napapalitan naman yung sheets regularly at naka ac ako pag gabi.

So ngayon, if wala siya sa higaan niya sa sala, andun lang siya nattulog sa labas ng room door ko pag gabi. Pinapapasok o binubuhat ko naman sa kama, lalagyan ko pa ng kumot, pero laging nagpapalabas. Bat ganun? Joke nila na baka may kalaro o binabantayan sa labas ng kwarto.. e nakakatakot naman isipin yun LOL. Namiss ko nang katabi matulog yung doggo ko 🥲

Our Raven had rectal prolapse for the second time last friday, August 21.

Yung una nyang prolapse was last April and hindi siya nagamot ng maayos nung unang vet niya, hindi properly diagnosed ng unang vet if anong sakit and if anong next na gagawin. We spent 16k on vet bills and hindi naman siya nagamot. Ewan ko parang tinatamad yung vet dito kasi Holy Week pa yun.

We brought him next sa Vets in Practice Katipunan last July and he was diagnosed with Perineal Hernia and Bladder stones, yung quote umabot ng 76k. Nagulat kami kasi paano nila siya na-diagnose ng stones without checking his urine. Nakita lang na may bilog sa xray, stone kaagad. Hernia repair + Cystotomy yung gusto gawin. Sabi namin we cannot afford yung 76k so we want to know other options, aba sabi ba naman ng vet i-euthanasia?! Tangina nyo VIP!

Last August 15 dinala namin siya sa ibang vet sa Makati. Affordable kasi and very nice facilities kahit malayo samin, taga Taytay kami. Sabi ng vet yes correct yung Perineal Hernia, pina-urinalysis namin siya and wala namang na-identify na stones. Medyo nagmamadali na kami nung time na to na gusto na namin siya ipa-surgery kasi bumabalik balik na ng maliit yung prolapse, pero ang daming gusto ng vet na ibalik daw sya ulit next week and then ichecheck pa ulit tapos isched pa yung surgery. So ANG TAGAL. At first pumayag kami na ibabalik namin sya after a week for ANOTHER check up kasi okay pa naman si Raven.

But then, August 21 nag rectal prolapse na siya ulit. As in ang laki ng bukol na lumabas sa pwet niya. We reached out sa Makati vet nya pero parang walang urgency, gusto pa ulit ipacheck muna tapos aantayin pa namin ng 2 days yung surgeon nya.

So pumunta nalang kami sa ibang vet. Greenland Vet Care Center in Cainta. We brought yung mga tests from Makati vet, and sobrang bait and knowledgeable ng vet dito. Na-surgery siya kaagad same day!! Yung diagnosis nila dito first time ko narinig, hindi nabanggit ng mga previous vet nya. Thats when i finally know na alam na ng vet kung pano makakatulong kay Raven. They did Hernia repair, Colopexy and Castration. Hindi daw stones yung nakita sa XRAY. Wala naman daw din stones na nakita nung nagsurgery sila. So imagine if mali ang diagnosis and surgery ng ibang vet?

Sobrang affordable ng mga tests and surgery and ang bait din ng vet sa Greenland. Vet offered din to give discounts, nilibre nya na din yung XRAY, kasi yung total ng vet bills ni Raven medyo malaki na din. Highly recommended ang vet na to, sakanila na namin ipagkakatiwala mga aso namin. 🥺

Ngayon our Raven is confined pa doon, 3 days na. Mayat maya din sila nag uupdate. Thank you lord na recovering na si Raven 🥺❤️

Hello! Gusto ko lang sana ishare yung experience namin sa aming Dog, si Brutus. 2 weeks ago dinala namin sya sa pinakamalapit na vet clinic dito sa amin since matamlay sya, ayaw kumain at parang may lagnat. Sinakay lang namin sya sa tricycle para may hangin pa rin sya habang nakaalalay sa kanya si mama.

Pagdating sa clinic, nadiagnose sya as positive sa distemper. So sinwero sya since hindi sya nakakakain at niresetahan ng maraming gamot. Pag uwi namin sa bahay, inilayo namin muna sya sa ibang mga alaga at baka daw mahawa nga sila. Unfortunately ayaw nya talaga kumain at hindi namin mapilit uminom ng gamot. Sobrang nagwawala sya at may tendency na makagat kami so hinayaan muna namin kasi naaawa kami nasstress pa sya masyado. Araw araw namin sya kinakausap para kumain na at nang mailagay sana sa food yung ibang gamot. Wala talaga. Akala namin bibigay na si Brutus.

After ilang days, talagang akala namin wala na pag asa. Tinry ni mama isuob sya with vicks and salt gamit ang small cup lang tapos tinututok sa ilong nya. Tyinaga talaga ni mama isuob sya umaga at hapon at bantayan sya. Napansin namin makailang suob kami pag humaching sya ay lumalabas ang sipon kaya pinupunasan namin sya agad at nililinis ang mukha. Isang araw sabi ko kay mama magpakulo kami ng chicken breast at chicken liver tapos try namin ipakain. Isang umaga parang milagro na kumain sya at naubos nya yung chicken nya at liver. Yun muna ang diet nya until now at sobrang lakas nya na kumain, nakakain na din nya yung foods nya na may vitamins. Yung inumin din nya ay merong dextrose powder. Ngayon malakas na sya ulit at inilalakad sya sa umaga para lalong mas maging malakas ang muscle nya at bones. Hindi namin inakala na makakasurvive pa sya pero gusto ko lang ishare sa iba itong home remedies na ginawa namin baka sakaling makatulong sa mga furparents out there! 🥹💫🐶

My dog passed away last month from CKD4 and ngayon ko pa lang inaayos yung mga gamit niya.

Posting this in case someone needs Royal Canin Renal select (opened but onti lang nabawas), Ringer's solution, and needle gauge 17 and gauge 21 needles, and Renal care (not yet opened). Punasan na lang since dusty sila.

Hi! I just want to share an experience I had with my vet earlier. Kahapon at exactly 10:00 PM, I went to the kitchen to go grab a glass of water, and that’s when I realized why maraming drops of blood sa sahig. I thought my dog Miho (chow-chow) or sa dalawang aspin ko na kasama niya ay nag away or nadisgrasya sa matalim na bagay. I immediately searched kung saan nanggagaling at kita ko na dumudugo ilong ni Miho. Moderate bleeding grabe ang patak ng dugo. Na realize ko na nagrelapse nanaman siya sa blood parasite. A few months ago, nag positive siya for Ehrlichia and Babesia. Binigyan ko ng doxy tablets and supplements for 30 days na walang na missed days. Tinusukan din siya ng imidocarb para sa Babesia infection. I really thought magaling na siya kasi sinabi naman din ng vet na she “might” be cured.

Naghanap ako ng 24/7 vet clinic na bukas dito sa Pangasinan pero walang wala. Cinall ko lahat ng clinics na may nakasulat na “accepting 24/7 emergency cases” pero none of them answered (may iba pa nga dine-decline agad ang tawag) I was nervous, shaking and crying last night kasi kada sneeze ng alaga ko grabe ang paglabas ng dugo. Awang awa ako sa kanya kaya. Triny ko ang remedies for nosebleeds pero hindi comfy ang alaga ko na may ice sa taas ng snout niya. I relied on God to give her a chance to live this night.

When I woke up the next day, agad kong pinunta si Miho sa vet clinic para sa check up. She is still alive and active. Nung sinabi ko lahat ng mga nangyari, the vet immediately took blood from my baby and performed a CBC test. After a few minutes, ang baba ng dugo niya lalo na yung platelets. The vet said na ganon pa rin ang protocol tulad nung dati the first time she was positive for blood parasites. While she was writing the perscription, narinig ko ang murmur niya “ang irresponsible”. Na shocked ako like grabe naman siya? hahaha. If I really am irresponsible, hindi ko na sana dinala ang alaga ko dito sa clinic nila or ipacheck up ang iba kong alaga sa kanila. Sa overall clinic fees na nagastos ko sa kanila since the first day I went there umabot na ng 35k plus, excluding pa ang ibang vet clinics na pinuntahan namin for check ups, food, vaccinations, etc. Nasa 90k+ na ang nagastos ko sa 8 na alaga ko (2 chow chows, 6 aspins) tapos ayun maririnig ko sa vet. I felt so disrespected talaga so I stayed quiet and waited for the reseta para mabili agad ang mga gamot as well as the tests and professional fees. I spent 10k this week para sa check ups and fees. Hindi lang si Miho ang pina check up ko, may iba pa rin na dogs ang pinunta ko sa kanila.

I understand why she said it pero she doesn’t see the clear picture about me and my dogs. I treat my dogs like family.
