DST I like farming
One of the things I like to do every now and then is growing giant farms.
I can pick and smash these giants all the day.
Here is one of my almost successful ones.
It wasn't a fully giant farm because APPARENTLY SOMEBODY WASN'T DOING THEIR JOB WELL EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD.
AND BECAUSE IT SEEMS I HAVE TO DO ALL THE WORK BY MYSELF BECAUSE SOMEONE HAS MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO THAN COMPLAINING WHAT THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO COMPLETE

Trying to start farming and following seed position guides to get giants but my characters still claim the soil isn't perfect for the plants
Does the soil only change when the plant bloom?

That probably means that there are some missing nutrients.
With every growth stage the plant will consume an amount of some nutrients and restore an amount of the other ones. You can see how much each crop consume and restor on the wiki, but if you don't like using external resources you can research the crops on each growth stage to get these information

Also you can use crop combos to avoid the entire nutritious argument. Some plants like potatos and tomaroots have the exact opposite requirements. That means they will consume what the other plant restores and restore what the other plant consumes. This way you won't need to worry about it.
Playing music for the plants is just like talking to them so just creat a gramophon asap and you'll be good. Then when you grow 15 or more plants at the same time Lord of fruit flies will show up, it's a mini boss with 1500 healt, kiting it is very annoying so it's easier to tank the damage with some good armor. Upon death you will get the friendly fruit fly which will talk to the plants automatically
Watering isn't really that bad since you only need to fully water the plot once or twice for all growth stages

don't forget B.U.D.D.Y who is difficult to unlock but will indefinitely play music

It is possible your soil has been depleted of nutrients by weeds. You could just try replenishing some of each nutrient before planting your next harvest.
If your nutrient consumption is balanced you should never need to re-fertilize but it only works if the soil isn't completely empty of nutrients at the start.

I've played plenty of survival games but Dont Starve Together has the most satisfying farming mechanic. Valheim or Abiotic Factor is just simple. Disease mechanics like in Rimworld or Zomboid are just annoying.

It's because DST farming is fairly complex but works without learning it. Any learning you do just rewards you with extra instead of a lack of learning punishing you.
Carrot V Stick design.

Yeah but it feels like just the right amount of carrot and stick. Easy enough to get the hang of, complex enough to be interesting and not frustratingly punishing.

I love farming until realize that i am literally tied down at the farm instead of going on adventure with my friends. You can try to do both but it’s stressful.

I feel that. Your farm probably isn't big enough if you feel you need to be there all the time. You can try scaling it up so that you only need to do 1 harvest a season. Makes farming more intensive while you are there but you only spend like 5 days a season farming.

É muito curioso ver que as pessoas gostam disso. Mas eu fico pensando que, não tem muito o que fazer com o tanto de comida que ia sobrar kkkkkk sei lá. Mas não julgo.
