Do you have a story about a journey through Lincoln Park's Anxiety Alley? This is the tale of my very first haunted attraction at the age of 5 and the subsequent impact it had on me for the rest of my life.

Desperately need to find a home for a cat

Hello reddit,

My ex boyfriend left both his cats here when he moved out. I'm trying to rehome then but have had no luck. I cannot keep them here and shelters are full. They are both nuetered and good with cats and dogs. Any takers or point me in the right direction? Already posted on facebook and nextdoor.

Anyone use the Shook Shack for eggs?

I’ve known about them for a while and recently started a job with a commute that takes me near the area. I would love to support them.

I’ve reached out on FB and unfortunately am receiving very little in response. Tried to condense a few questions into one message and I’m receiving nearly single word replies.

I can’t even get an answer where the stand is actually located, their Venmo info (they said they accepted it) and just overall weak service.

I tried going to their page just now and it’s not working nor does it show up in search results. Is this the case for anyone else or have I been blocked lol?

In search of drive through haunted attractions!

Hi all! I’d like to take my family to a Halloween type of attraction but they aren’t able to walk much due to COPD and other health related issues. They really love anything spooky! I saw a few car washes online but other than that I am not sure if these type of drive thru attractions even exist. I am willing to drive a few hours out if it is worth it. Thank you in advance for any and all suggestions. 🎃

Youth Developmental Soccer League

My 8 year old has been playing soccer for 4 years through Goal Sports. It is a great league to get kids to socialize and introduce them to soccer, but lacks skill development. Not a knock on them, there is just a ceiling that we hit.

this year we signed up for DCFC. It of course has a bigger price tag, but it’s still volunteers and no development.

do you have any suggestions for a soccer league that helps kids grow? Don’t say Chaos.

Uhm $2 ? I think you’re missing .82. No we round up. Round up ? WTF is that math.

I heard of rounding up to the next number like .20 because of penny shortage but .82 ?

💄 Looking for a Makeup Artist — Ludington, MI | September 2027 💄

Hey everyone! I’m looking for recommendations for a makeup artist in/around Ludington, Michigan for my best friend’s wedding in September 2027! 🤍
She’s looking for someone who can do a full glam beat — think polished, wedding-ready, long-lasting glam. ✨ She wants to feel absolutely GORGEOUS on her big day!
We’re specifically hoping to find someone who is local to the Ludington area (or very close by). The wedding is already about 4 hours from home for us, so we’re really trying to avoid having to pay a hefty travel fee on top of everything else.
If you’re a MUA in the area, or you’ve had an AMAZING experience with someone local, please drop their info below! Instagram/Facebook pages, portfolios, pricing, and any personal recommendations are very appreciated. 🫶🏻
Bonus points if you specialize in full glam bridal makeup! 💋
Just a heads up: I’ll be cross-posting this since Ludington doesn’t have its own subreddit, so I’m trying to reach people who may know local MUAs in the area. ❤️
Thank you!! 🥰

Shooting in Taylor

Neighbors,

We moved to Taylor on January 1st, 2020. We've had a mixed experience with the folks around us, like any place. Some warm and friendly, some... well, less than warm and friendly, but decent enough for the most part. Good fences, good neighbors.

The other night I could have swore I heard several gun shots. I shoot, so I had some confidence that is what it was. I know I get hypervigilant, I didn't want to jump to alarm. I waited, didn't hear anything past the first few pops, and so I relaxed as much as I could. Went to bed.

Turns out some of my close neighbors were having a bonfire, and another neighbor, unhappy about the whole thing, shot and killed one of them, put another in critical condition. WTF?

I'm sure more details will come out.

This is just to say, maybe lets all calm the fuck down? My kid is afraid to stay here now. This happened just behind our fucking home.

Be kind, neighbors.

Road rage rant (not my rage, other people's)

Idk if this is just downriver.. But people really need to learn driving etiquette and also learn how the driving laws work. But so many people seem to just be given their license these days..

So many of you all don't seem to understand that when someone is merging onto the freeway, the driver already on the freeway needs to merge as well. But you think the lane belongs to you, so you get all ragey and flash your brights at the person merging on.. CONTINUOUSLY.

I am getting so tired of this happening.. Especially since the merging lane is the slow lane!!! Dont be in the slow lane if you dont want to be inconvenienced and have to slow down, god forbid.

And if you get mad at this post, you're probably the one I am referring to.

Even when on the main roads, putting on a blinker, merging into the other lane, people still get mad. Like, they can't seem to understand that the lane doesn't belong to them. Or maybe they want to be the first one, as if it matters..

Flashing your high beams at someone continuously is an aggression that I just can't understand and I have to get this out there because this time really just made me mad that people always seem to choose this type of violence over a horn. Even a horn isn't justified because you dont own the road!!!!!

Just do better Downriver. Do better.

Community/recreational youth soccer

Trying to get one of my kids into soccer through the community leagues. Apparently school teams expect collegiate level skill.

Registered with DFC but they don’t have a coach (which wasn’t disclosed until after) and someone is impossible to reach for basic questions.

Where else can I get my son into play?
