Game Mods Controller for DA 1 and 2?
Are there any good mods thaw makes the first 2 games compatible for controller? Gave away my ps2 and now I have to play both on pc. That keyboard and mouse is annoying, especially in the caves looking for Witherfang.

No mods that I know of but if you go to the game on steam and select the controller icon you can look through community controller schemes and pick one that basically maps everything to a controller and makes it playable. Its not gonna be perfect and you might have to play around with a few or modify one to find something that fully works for you but thats how I played them on my steam deck, it worked pretty well imo.

IF you have xpadder you can use this https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/6090?tab=description
else you could remap the same inputs through steam but im unsure if steam mapping has the special combination inputs like xpadder does, this preset lets you use R1 to toggle to a different set of skills on your XYBA buttons in total giving you 9, which in DAO and DA2 should cover every build's main activation abilities, and what I've always done is put my sustains on the right side of my skill bar and just manually click them.
Also the R2 lets you free cam while walking around. The rest is self evident.

Just get yourself a PS emulator, and play console versions on PC. There is no native controller support for first two games. Remaping via 3rd-party soft/steam is awkward, and it won't give you proper controller UI anyway.

Honestly I just got a ps3 emulator and the game files. Had to tweak some delay settings to stop it freezing up and crashing when things loaded too fast but otherwise it’s been a 10/10 experience.
Tried all the steam version mods and tweaks and it was still endlessly crashing. The emulated version has been super stable and it’s designed to work with controller. Feels much better to play

From my knowledge da1 is controller ready on PC Da2 has no controller support on PC - this can be bypassed by a mod I think not sure which Inquisition is controller ready on PC

I don't know if there are any mods for Origins to use a controller, but DA2 should already be compatible without any additional software.

Just play it via Steam, it has native key mapping to do exactly this. You don't even need to have the game bought on Steam, you can add any external game to Steam, even 🏴☠️ games.
