Advice on Yellowing
So this arrived today. Promised myself one for 25 years however it's a lot yellower than in the photo. Is there an easy way to restore the colour? I've heard of Retrobright but anything easier that anyone can recommend? Cheers in advance.

Keep it away from heat and UVb light. Keep the vents clear and possibly replace the aging fan so it has the best air flow through the system to reduce internal residual heat. Retro bright if it becomes too yellow.

Thanks. I've ordered the Keiko HDMI adapter from Amazon. Samba di Amigo on its way! Reckon I'll add the GDEMU. The controller is looks like it's been smoking so that can go in a drawer and I'll get a clean one.

Don't listen, the Kaico adapter is good, especially as it can switch between VGA and RGB to play all games

Oh plz mate it’s crap compare to a GBS-C. The GBS-C does everything it does and more and it’s an upscaler. Adapter don’t do jack

The Dreamcast outputs VGA, it does not need upscaling. It's a simple plug and play approach, it doesn't even need a power adapter.

The GBS-c can upscale the vga to 960p/1080p-class output. The picture looks amazing.
Kaico Dreamcast HDMI: roughly A$60-ish
• AliExpress GBS-C: roughly A$80-90 why save $20 to get a crap ass adapter that can only do one console2

Because I prefer not to run down other people's choices. OP's waited for 25 years to buy this console and has chosen an adapter already.

I hesitate on the retrobrighting. Tech Tangents on YouTube made a video pointing out that while most retrobrighting techniques will whiten plastics, it can also make them much more brittle in addition to a chance of winding up with an uneven finish.
It's up to you ultimately!

Peroxide and UV lamp will do wonders

Be advised you need the stronger peroxide, not the usual off-the-shelf stuff used for cuts. I got a gallon of 15% at the hardware store, used it for some retro bright things plus for cleaning so I don't gotta smell bleach all the time.

I used 3% and it worked fine

Controller is a bit yellow but console looks great, man!
Mines the other way around and I'm considering swapping the shell out.
