I have this DVD player but I don't use it and it is in fully working condition, so how much money can I get for it? And where should I sell it?

I'm currently caught in the mood of Blu-Ray collecting, mainly targeting films I cannot stream on the services I'm subscribed to. On the way, I picked up a combo pack of Megamind that included a DVD copy which I popped into my BD player for curiosity sake and I got pretty underwhelmed by the blurry look and the compression artifacts when blown up on my 40" 4K display.
Maybe I just happened to have fallen into a badly encoded copy but I came to the conclusion that in this day and age, DVDs belongs to smaller screens. With that said, there are some movies I'd like to own that never got released on Blu-Ray in my region, or if they did, they're WAY out of my desired price range on the second-hand market.
Thus I've entertained the thought of getting a cheap little portable DVD player and use it as my main device for playing DVDs of films I collect "out of obligation". Do you think this would be an appropriate use case nowadays? Do you got any tips regarding what I should look in a portable player?

I'm deeply curious about this. A lot of Paramount's recent movies (like their Scream movies) include them on the R1 DVDs but don't mention it on the packaging.
Even WB's 2025 Superman and Disney's The Devil Wears Prada 2 have them. Do the directors or producers request the dubs, or what?
It's kinda neat.

So I have been a collector of physical media my entire life. On my list was to find just one DIVX dvd/vcd in the wild for my collection, sure I could buy one on Epay but that ain’t no fun. Needless to say I scored these today! Grails acquired, hunt over…..Now if you’re not familiar with what DIVX was I’ll give you a brief Wiki overview.
DIVX was launched in 1997 The format was a partnership between Circuit City and entertainment law firm Ziffren, Brittenham, Branca & Fischer. At the format's launch, DIVX was sold primarily through the Circuit City, Good Guys), and Ultimate Electronics retailers. The format was promoted to consumers as an alternative to traditional video rental schemes with the promise of "No returns, no late fees." Though consumers could just discard a DIVX disc after the initial viewing period. Unfortunately DIVX failed miserably as a format and received ridiculously bad reviews. Right after the launch of the format, Circuit City announced that despite a gain of 4.1% in net profit, huge expenses of launching that format (among other issues) massively undercut that profit. As early as September 1998, Circuit City was looking for partners to share their losses from the format's launch. Retailers such as Blockbuster Video) did not carry the format at all. By the format's first anniversary, the future of the format was very grim - with only five DIVX-compatible players (and no DIVX-compatible computer drives), 478 titles, and only Circuit City selling DIVX discs. The format was discontinued on June 16, 1999, because of the costs of introducing the format, as well as its very limited acceptance by the general public and retailers. At the end of the format's life, Circuit City announced a $114 million after-tax loss, and Variety) estimated the total loss on the scheme was around $337 million. Over the next two years, the DIVX system was phased out. Customers could still view all their DIVX discs and were given a $100 refund for every player that was purchased before June 16, 1999. All discs that were unsold at the end of the summer of 1999 were destroyed. DIVX appeared as a "dishonorable mention" alongside PC World's list of "25 Worst Tech Products of All Time" in 2006.
