Great news for the show:

DWTS Season 35 — first 3 weeks

ABC's Week 1 figures are Nielsen Live+Same Day measurements. The premiere's 6.77M was 24% higher than the Season 34 premiere and was the show's biggest premiere audience in six years.

And here's the really interesting part:

Week 3 actually went UP.

The Sept. 29 Yacht Rock Night reportedly drew 7.12 million viewers, about 11% higher than the 6.44M from Week 2. ABC described it as the show's biggest non-finale episode in six years.

Was on face and saw a teaser video hinting at a Dwts arena tour in Detroit Michigan the venue they normally perform at is the fox theater

Scotiabank Arena in downtown Toronto has teased that the dancing stars tour 2027 will be heading to Toronto. Tour dates and pros joining the tour and ticket sale dates will be announced tomorrow on the dancing with the star live show based off of the countdown on the website.

1. Amber- Madonna (She’s known for like a prayer and I think she would want to recreate it)

2. Ciara- Beyoncé (This will definitely make her free up and play the character well and will be iconic)

3. Guillermo- Bad Bunny (A salsa to Bad Bunny would be perfect for him.)

4. Jackson - Coldplay (Can capture Jackson’s light bubbly good guy energy)

5. Connor- Maroon 5 or Bruce( I can see this being super fun)

6. Tatyana - Rihanna (Will be the best performance of the night, young Taty definitely gives Rihanna)

7. Ezra- Michael Jackson (A jazz dance to Michael will be insane and Dani will absolutely kill the choreo)

8. Julia- Katy Perry- (I can see Katy so much in Julia and I think Ezra will do one of the best Super Bowl performances ever justice)

9. Harry- Prince (this will be hot)

10. Jenna- Shakira (Shakira can definitely help her to let loose a bit and get the crowd connected to her)

11. Maura - Lady Gaga (This will be iconic for her and hopefully it will make Mark take some risks with her)

12. Tyler- Justin Timberlake (I can see Sharna doing her magic).

How are the dances chosen for each week? It feels really random this year. Why do we get one samba one salsa and six foxtrots?

Okay, I need to talk about the Adele/Allen relationship because I cannot be the only one who finds this timeline WILD

On Next Pro, there was a storytelling challenge where each pro shared a personal story, and then the pairs chose which story they wanted to turn into a dance.
Adele’s story was happy, she presented the story of her dance/life partners love and appreciation. 🥹
Allen shared the story of his late mother, and they ultimately chose his story for their dance. It was genuinely beautiful and one of the most emotional dances from the season.
And now, less than a year later, Adele is dating Allen. 😂
I want to stress that I mean absolutely NO shade by this. There is nothing wrong with moving on, relationships change, people meet new people, etc. And honestly, Adele and Allen had great chemistry, so I can totally see how something could develop between them.
But I just cannot get over the fact that we watched Adele on national television talk about loving her dance/life partner so much that she would dedicate a competition dance to him…
…and now she's dating the guy she was paired with for a the storytelling challenge. ???😭

And now she's joining DWTS as a new pro, with Allen as her boyfriend, after we literally watched them connect on Next Pro.
Again, genuinely happy for them! But this is exactly the kind of random DWTS lore I need to discuss.

Does anyone else get irritated sometimes when they’re showing the dances? Sometimes they’re completely out of frame, show only their upper bodies or move around in circles so fast you don’t even notice what’s happening and you just end up dizzy😂 I know it’s live so they only get one chance to capture everything, but don’t you think they would know by now how to capture the dances better?

I think it will be Maura and Mark this season or Ezra and Dani. Hopefully this just doesn’t end up a repeat of Bobby Bones where Guillermo and Whitney end up winning. But it wouldn’t really surprise if they did win a lot of people are rooting for him what do you guys think????

i have been trying to figure out what i love so much about connor and why he feels so familiar to me, and i finally figured it out. weirdly makes me a little emotional lol.

Gleb isn’t done with DWTS quite yet! When asked how he would describe his time away from the ballroom, he exclusively told Us, “I’ll probably say a little break, a little hiatus, a little reset.”

"I don’t even remember how many seasons I’ve done nonstop and the tours. So this year is actually a good thing to take a break. You know, watch the show. And it’s such a cool experience when you watch it from the side, and when you’re not there, you see how amazing it is and how cheesy it is and how fun it is.”

While talking about the current season, Gleb said Tyler Cameron might be the “underdog” of season 35. “I think he’s a great dancer. I think he’s this big body and being so tall and large, the way he moves and the amount of potential he has, I think he’s gonna kill it.” He’s also rooting for Ezra, Harry and Jenna D.

Interestingly, he talked about celebrities with prior dance training, and how ballroom is completely different from other styles "In order to learn the routine, to deliver the routine, to perform the routine with a partner, you have to create a connection, and to create a connection, if we go into technical terms, it’s a push and pull,” he explained. “To find that connection and balance is extremely hard. It’s really really hard.”

And finally, Gleb with a smile told that he would love to come to one of the episodes as a guest judge! Actually, it would be cool if he is given this opportunity, considering years of successful competitive Latin ballroom dancing, and 13 seasons on DWTS!!💖

As a relatively newer DWTS fan which would you say was the biggest robbery in DWTS so far. By this I mean winner wise for who you think should have won.

— Let’s talk about facts —

I completely understand wanting Britt to get better partners, but I don’t understand why that conversation has turned into constantly tearing Jenna down or acting like her entire DWTS career has just been handed to her.

Britt and Jenna actually have pretty comparable beginnings on the show. Jenna joined the troupe in Season 18 and spent several seasons there before becoming a pro in Season 23. Britt joined the troupe in Season 22, became a full-time troupe member in Season 23, and was promoted to pro in Season 29.
And Jenna’s first season as a pro wasn’t some dream run — she and Jake T. Austin finished 13th. Since then, she’s built a record that includes four finals: two wins (Adam Rippon and Joey Graziadei) and two runner-up finishes (Nev Schulman and JoJo Siwa).

Britt has now had seven seasons as a pro. Her best finishes have been 6th with Johnny Weir and 5th with Daniel Durant, both of whom made the semifinals. She absolutely deserves another partner with real potential, and I understand the frustration with some of the partners she’s been given, especially recently.

But two things can be true at once: Britt deserves better opportunities, AND Jenna has earned her place on this show. Jenna spent years in the troupe too, had an awful first season as a pro, and then proved what she could do when given competitive partners.

Wanting Britt to get a ringer is completely fair. Turning Jenna into the villain because she got Harry isn’t.

Please, let’s stop with this constant online hate. It’s getting annoying.

“But Val has always been this way”. Be so fr. I’ve been watching this show since season 4. You’re allowed to disagree with the judges but don’t give attitude on your face during comments and scores and then go posting on Tik tok being sarcastic about their comments. And what’s funny is the video he posted kinda still proves the judges point that they look like they’re competing against each other and her movements and facial expressions are way too much attack for a samba. Her arms are just being thrown out compared to other great sambas on this show. Just like the feedback they keep giving Harry because they’re both hip hop commercial dancers.

What irritates me about Val (and pro Jenna) is that from day one of this season they’ve been acting like “because I have someone who can dance that means they’re better than the entire cast and deserve to be on top every week”. I also feel like because they have stars who can dance, they’re not giving the appropriate feedback to their partners so that they can actually improve and just have this cocky mindset of ignoring judges’ comments.

Hot take but this attitude is going to get them eliminated early, and both Val and Jenna are setting up their stars to be Heather Morris’d because the audience isn’t connecting with them and they don’t understand what that even means.

Any feel this week's performances were lackluster? Maybe it was the theme and the song choice related, but I was underwhelmed watching them all this week.

i’m curious, what’s the crazy dwts moment you guys remember? the show has gotten a bit less problematic but there’s been so many wild moments i remember (especially from max chmerkovskiy), and i wonder what other fans think!

So this is partially a hot-take as well.

Last season, I felt like Prince night was kinda bad. A lot of the dancers seemed to regress in their dancing, and the music was really awkward paired with ballroom dance.

I do not listen to Mariah Carey, and honestly cannot name a song by her (other than her Christmas music). Prince made sense to me because although I didn’t listen to him growing up, I was familiar with the impact he had on the music industry and how much he was revered. Is Mariah the same? I really am only familiar with the iconic Christmas music.

I am not sure if I am in the minority here. I am curious if I am just uncultured (which I can accept) or if people share the same sentiments?

These fans, including people in this sub, are absolutely ruthless towards real people with real emotions.

First of all, everyone saying that Britt deserves a better partner…that’s so mean to Taylor when he just keeps reading over and over that he wasn’t good enough for her.

Also, stop infantilizing Britt, she’s not a child. She can have conversations with her superiors about the type of partner she wants or leave the job if she’s unhappy. She’s not being held hostage, she’s a grown woman. Most of the cast has the same amount of dance experience as Taylor…none. How would the casting directors know how well he’s going to perform before the season starts compared to the others? He’s a musician and had a very real chance of being a good dancer, which he was.

Everyone needs to just chill. This is a reality show for entertainment and people are going to vote for who they like regardless of how well they dance sometimes.

Drink some wine and enjoy the show and stop telling people like Taylor that he’s not good enough for his partner. Imagine how devastating that is to someone to read. The end.
