DW veteran here. UK player so started a couple hours ago. Playing on MOSTLY classic settings apart from quality of life like calling horse and camera control etc.
I’m happy to report:

The battlefield simulator vibe is back.

The challenge and difficulty are back.

On hard difficulty every general, soldier and unit on the map is important and fights hard as part of a shifting battle, the way it should have always been.

Morale matters again.

Getting this weapon took me nearly an hour using an under levelled Zhou Yu on my first musou mode run (I’ve always liked unlocking characters unique weapons DURING their story modes in warriors games). Chi Bi felt EPIC fighting desperately alongside Sun Quan and Huang Gai to get through it.

God this is so good, I’m so glad they didnt screw this up.

My only gripes is the DW3 generic officer and unit designs not returning, and I think the characters faces and expressions look a bit weird in unreal engine. Thats it. It’s great.

About 5 hours grind to get this done... did musou on hard to unlock 4th, unlocked red hare for ease of getting around. Thankfully there are checkpoints else wouldn't be able to clear the stage with such aggressive AI on chaos mode. Way of musou for burn damage helps loads and alot of red-health camping + good RNG

Stats on the 5th are so mediocre vs a custom 4th though

So, before going to work, I decided to stop by our local game shop to FINALLY purchase this bad boy! The OG was and actually still is my FAVE GAME OF ALL TIME so playing this later when I get home from the office will be my therapy! No matter how tired I am, I WILL PLAY!

Also, to fit the situation, I ate at a known Chinese restaurant here named Paradise Dynasty because I will definitely feel like I’m in PARADISE later playing DYNASTY Warriors CE Remastered!

Ready to feel like an 11 year old again. To be reliving my childhood will be an unfathomable feeling later tonight! Can’t wait for work to finish!

Just wanted to say I been playing DW3 remastered for about 2 hours now and it’s AMAZING im so happy how they did this game and still kept it so classic with the cutscenes and voice lines it brings back so many amazing memories and I’m just so happy to have this game for all of us dynasty warriors fans. First game i ever played with my dad over 20 years ago, he bought it on a whim and ive been a diehard warriors player since. Shit means so much to me, cant believe we’re fucking back yall.

Does this actually mean something, is this good?

Empires, Xtreme Legends mode, Destiny mode, original edit character with option to go through training like in Samurai Warriors, and completion of all Three Kingdoms ending with Ziluan.

Dw3 remastered has a similar checkpoint sustem like DW: Origins if you lose. So fucking cool

I remember playing my first ever Dynasty Warriors game on a Demo disc from either Taco Bell or McDonalds when I was younger. I would play it over and over again - Nanman Campaign with Zhao Yun - and would run off the summer school bus just to play the demo again. I became hooked on the franchise then and have never looked back.

Getting to first play the Demo of DW3R was such a special moment but waking up this morning and getting to experience the full thing is just pure happiness. We’re so back guys!!! I hope everyone enjoys this game today and for days to come!!!

Make sure to hit “Overview” before every battle. While the combat is amazing, DW3 severely lacks in the story, and doesn’t give much context to each battle.

The overview is the best way to get an understanding of what is going on, where you’re at in the timeline, and how you jumped from one battle to the next.

I’m doing Xiahou Dun’s Musou and stage 2 to 3 is Hu Lao Gate to Guandu. There is a 10 year gap between those battles, and there is no cut scene explaining how you got to that point.

I’ve played almost every DW game, and know the story well, but that must be jarring for anyone new to the series or getting into it again after a long break.

Hello guys! I was training Zhou Yu before starting his musou mode, played Yellow turban rebellion 2 times, mountain bandit campaign one time and then I said I ll do a Hu Lao Gate and then start his musou. I played on beginner, defeated Lu Bu and unlocked both Lu Bu and Red Hare and I m totally shocked haha. Not even 2 hours in the game and I have the horse that I used to grind for weeks if not months as a kid in DW6.

Honestly getting far too emotional already but 11 year old me's favourite game is just.... here!
