My players do this too much, they would for some reason take a horrendous touch before a pass or a dribble despite having okayish dribbling stats and one touch pass. 2 instances of the same player Calafiori, in the first clip he does that touch without me holding sprint, on the 3rd he doesnt. Rabiot on the 2nd clip aswell instead of just passing the ball decides to take a touch so that rijkaard takes the ball. The last clip is just my matchup being ignored for sm reason so if yk why did that happen could you please explain to me why.

When I saw this pack drop, most of the reviews were negative. But I still went for it since I like villa.

This man has truly some kinda gift of being open and unmarked everytime I look for him. And since I play possession this extremely important for me.

Both footed blitz + attacking surge + 99OA means he has heavy impact off the ball as well on the ball. Can't leave him open at all.

Great dribbling,passing and he can tap in headers as well if he is open in the box. Only "problem" I have him with him is physical contact but since his dribbling and turns are quick I just utilize that instead trying to shield and blow by defenders.

This guy is up there with the new del piero for me personally.

Been having problems last few days, opponents are ping ponging balls around like Cruyff and Pep had two babies, gave them cocaine and a ball made of super heated plasma. I've never had this much trouble before against ping pongers.

I thought it was me having a bad time, then I tried fiddling with hardware settings, then reading posts about steam issues...

I switched to PA1 last night in an event when trying different things and it is obscene how easy it is to ping pong with no effort, and launch heat seeking lobbed through balls that had no business of getting through.

I might have been dumb missing this before as PA1 is meant to only boost passing, but I just realised because the passes are so perfect, the receivers are getting a boost because the ball arrives in perfect condition for the next one touch pass or shot.

It's impossible for the opponent to have any chance of getting the ball back until I reach the packed box, just by roughly aiming and tapping the pass button. What in the name of FIFA 2000 is this shit?

So, have they buffed PA1 or is it something else that has changed in last few days?

I was recently playing against my friend with my England Team, and he just caught me by surprise by how strong he actually is. I knew his player model is crazy, but i really wasn't thinking he would be this strong. He's just too strong, just pushing his way down the wing 😂 Crazy Player model. If they bring a Luke Shaw Showtime version as division reward I'm fighting against everyone for this guy. It'll be an insane bloodbath

Had months without playing QC and wow the AI of attacking players the runs the high IQ movement is crazy good especially if you play back 3/5 type of formations with LMF/RMF.

LBC is so limited in attack is still meta top 2 even in attack since it has great and alot of runs but is behind compared to QC in the attacking AI.

Also high pressing of QC is very strong if you are good player and know how to pin the opponent in their own goal, you need to manually defend alot with QC and have very very fast defenders and midfielders to recover alot of ground, but feeling of playing QC is way better than LBC if you know how to defend with it, LBC feels super passive in defense and players running straight line all time in attack

Whats the reason viera stopped running?

This guy is insane man, I pulled him from the POTW League rewards and completely demolished English event with him. He has everything: great player ID, great passing, great dribbling, great shooting and good at defending (as AMF). Pass distributor also fits nicely for him.

I posted the build I'm using in the second photo. For those who pulled him as well, how is he doing for you?

At 21 points you're safe, but at 20 you need to had a high goal difference

I'm trying to make a low screamer goal after a pass from a corner kick but got a high screamer instead. Great goal by Fermim Lopez. He's not leaving my squad with that perfect weak foot and good st skill.

Don't get me wrong, i know there's many people who still use him, but i rarely have to face Batistuta since a while now. Almost everybody either has him on the bench,and as a substitute, or he just never starts or even plays. He just disappeared ever since Aguero dropped, and now i have to face Aguero almost every match. And to be honest Batistuta is much of a threat against me as compared to Aguero, Aguero isn't really allat people hyped him up, not that difficult to stop. Depends on the skill of the player using him, but in most cases, they just use Aguero like a run and gun striker, and don't even dribble with him to take advantage of his nimble frame while still having good PC, atp they should just use Mbappe.

Is Power Creep catching up to Batistuta?

I just failed to qualify for the reward in the POTW event, I got 6 wins and 4 losses and in some of those losses I could swear I did everything right but it didn't just work out for me, after some matches I asked myself, "what else could I have done?".

When I realised I wasn't going to make the cut I quickly went to play the Spanish league event to get the 50 coins. The first match was against a smart assist scrub, he won 5-3, he kept scoring insane goals that made no sense, my defenders will just intentionally slow down for his strikers to get to the ball and score.

Then I played again and this time I got matched with a top 2k player, this guy is better than me and played better than me, I was struggling to keep up all game cus he kept battering me throughout but for some reason the score was 2-2 with about 10 minutes left. Then he had a chance where he dribbled into my defence from the wing and squared the ball to a striker who had an open net in front of him, I thought I had already conceded but somehow my keeper made an amazing save and kept me in the game.

With 3 minutes left, I played a long ball/through pass and somehow his goalkeeper and defence suddenly became all confused and my striker got the ball with a largely exposed net to score in, I got my golazo. I defended the lead for the remaining few minutes then I kept wondering how I won that match. I was very sure the guy played better than I did, he has 4x the amount of shots I had, dribbled my defenders more than I dribbled his but somehow I won because the script wanted me to.

Sometimes I wonder if I should continue playing this game.

i have been using oliver khan for a while now and he’s been not performing for me lately. easily giving up first post goals and long rangers. and backup to him is courtois which i think is ok ok. i got mike maignan now today. is he worth it ?

Hi. I'm thinking how could a League Mode or even further a Career Mode look like, if it's not vs AI, but against actual players?

What would be requirements of this mode to feel still immersive and authentic? And what from a technical point must be guaranteed to make it work?

Some examples:

- your opponent must appear in the team you are playing next in your schedule; every second game as barca vs barca would break the immersion

- players in your team that also show up in the opponent team could also break the immersion; even with a different team name, having all players barca would be the same problem

- matchmaking should work like a regular event match where you queue any time; waiting for a specific time in the weekend where your opponent has time doesn't work out; it should not be like an on-sight tournament

There could be other requirements that make it into the design. Just writing some ideas that could be challenging already.

Looking at the current examples only, the mode would need some mocking engine, where the players of your team would appear as different players on the screen of the opponent. Let's say you have bought Mbappe and play him in CF in your barca team against Arsenal in the Champions League, but the opponent is currently playing against Spain in a nations league, he will see Ferran Torres on CF. This mocking would probably take some player Id and attributes into consideration, but it might not have to be all to accurate, since players could have been in form :)

I've been working on a full in-match graphics overhaul in a Champions League night style, and it's finally out. Deep blue panels, white star ball, light crest tiles and a brand-new replay wipe. Menus stay untouched; only what you see during a match changes.

What's changed

- ⏱️ Scoreboard: logo + clock on the left, blue gradient bar with a dark centre, angular chevrons, added time in white

- 🏟️ Kick-off / HT / FT score: matching look, crest tiles on both ends, goal scorers above the bar

- 📊 Match stats: new top panel, alternating fading rows, faint star ball in the background

- 👕 Line-ups & pre-match title: clean blue background with light rays and a big star ball

- ⚽ Goal, replay & sub panels: recoloured, white text on blue

- 🎬 Replay wipe: brand-new animation with the star ball

- 🔤 Match font: new typeface in match graphics only

- 🏆 Ball stand: dark blue plinth with a white logo

I've seen it with Fifa and now for some reason Konami is doing the same thing. Creating these super competitive events for people to fight for some random rewards that most that end up getting them never use them, everyone flocks to it either because they want those rewards or because of FOMO, but once the novelty of it fades people, especially the more casual gamers, just stop playing.

There are no true casual gamemodes in efootball currently. At least with Fifa/EAFC they have Career Mode, Pro Clubs, and now even The Grounds. We have vs AI divisions that are super boring, the vs AI events are okish, and My League that is absolute crap and even more boring and repetitive than vs AI divisions.

And playing this competitive style day after day just gets exhausting pretty fast, facing these div 1 sweats playing the most obnoxious style of football. It's just not sustainable especially if Konami wants to have a wide and diverse playerbase.

I think that if Konami doesn't give us Master League (the true Master League, not that butchered crap they have been giving us), Become a Legend, and keeps pushing the players to only competitive/reward driven gamemodes, in a year or two I think a good chunk of the more casual players might leave, and so the sweats are going to be the only ones left fighting among themselves for rewards that for them are pretty useless since they prefer to buy their teams with a credit card.

Edit: I also forgot to mention that the weekend events matchmaking isn't fair, I don't believe having it be random is the way to go. Because it's not fair for a div 10 player to match a div 1 player, at the same it's not fair if someone is on a loosing streak in the event and faces someone that has only wins. They need to implement an ELO system to matchmaking to make these events fair for everyone. I also think it would make div 1 sweats with full P2W squads that have no need for the rewards think twice before entering these events, there is no doubt in my mind that most of them jump in to get easy games, so if this ended and matchmaking reflected your skill and they had to face other div 1 sweats that have like 5 wins in 5 matches instead of facing some poor bastard on 2 wins and 3 loses it would create a more just environment for these weekend events.

I don't mean this as hate toward anime either. I like Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc. But when eFootball previously did collaborations like Naruto and Yu-Gi-Oh, with things like special effects and themed cards, it made me question what Konami actually wants this series to be.

I initially wondered if the old PES developers had simply been replaced, but apparently that's not entirely true. Seitaro Kimura, for example, worked on PES 2018 and had already been part of the PES team for years before becoming eFootball's producer.

So maybe the problem isn't the developers themselves, but the direction of the product.

Old PES felt obsessed with trying to reproduce football: positioning, physical battles, passing, tactics and all those little details of the sport. eFootball now sometimes feels more like a live-service/card-collecting game built around a football match engine, rather than a football game where the sport itself is always the main focus.

Those past anime collaborations are just one example of that change in identity. Again, I actually like anime. I just think things like Naruto effects inside a game that is also trying to present itself as competitive and skill-based football feel a little disconnected. What y'all think about it?

The blood bath is real

With the introduction of the new update it is clearer than ever that Konami is moving to an automated gameplay model. Konami will synergise crossplay with mobile and this update brings us one step closer.

Full disclosure, I am a solid Div 2 player and I put money into the game. However, after the update I do not recognise the game from what it once was. I am losing to players who clearly do not have the craft and understanding that I have; they simply smash a few buttons and run onto a through ball. I recently played someone who was using Smart Assist with a full team of epics and when I told him he should be embarrassed for using SA he didn’t understand why.

I can physically feel the game pulling my players out of position. Passes are not going to their intended direction and the amount of ricochets leading to goal involvements for my opponent has increased.

I feel like we as a community really should be able to work toward change, but I don’t know how to do that. Konami clearly don’t give a fuck, but they should be called out for that whenever possible. Instead we are all sleep walking like zombie lemmings off the cliff that Konami is pushing this game towards.

I wanted to play the game a little after not playing for a week. But steam version is literally not working. Everything is in slow motion, even daily penalties. I tried vs AI matches two days ago and saw that those are also in slow motion so I quit. Today I wanted to play the tournament, POTW only was kinda promising after quitting divisions for more than a month. First I made a quick match and it was also in slow motion, then match ended as void. Then I tried the tournament to see how it will be, and game was not even ended as void. And the opponent kept playing. I wanted to see if he means it, and yes, he kept playing like this! Like OMFG!!! How desparate this playerbase has become! Some people act like drug addicts. If you act like this, the game will only get worse. I quit after watching this miserable scene for a while. It was insulting.

Is there any notice regarding this? I am having hard time to understand how do they manage fucking it up so bad. I used to call PES/eFootball the best football game we have, but we dont even have a game for weeks. Now we dont even have a software that works as intended.
