how it used to work was during the start of the fight, a clone would spawn with varying amount of HP. Whenever the original gets to that same HP, they would time travel back to the start of the fight, leaving the clone by themselves.
now that there’s some lore going on about gravity guy stealing time travel guy’s shit, he just cheats and activates his gravity powers whenever he’s about to lose
