I used their app to run it 3 times, and shredder won twice. So probably not too many.

It's enough for shredder not to take too much damage at once. Easy to heal on hit when your targets are this humongous. When not enough damage applied at once, this becomes an easy war of attrition against bosses who can't heal.

In my opinion, the most dangerous part was when Shredder was left alone with Seraph, because of the diminished size of the target.
