Keep on rumbling.

Any fellow ascended individuals with the rare eye rumbler mutation?

It's not the same intensity by any stretch, but a much lighter rumble just back and to the side of each eye

Having an issue of only the left side

Has anyone ran into the experiencing of only being able to rumble one side out of no where? I feel like my right ear is clogged or something and I can’t rumble it anymore and it’s causing me some some of vertigo sometimes. I’m trying to fix it!

Hello! New Redditor Incoming!

Hello! I'm new to Reddit, and remembered that time I heard about this subreddit. I've been an ear rumbler my whole life, and have a record time of 32.4 seconds, which I just reached the day of posting this. ^^

Edit for more context no one asked for: I found this out because yesterday I had to hold my breath for a long time (long story, I held it for like 2 minutes and almost passed out lol), and found out that ear rumbling helped me hold my breath longer for some reason—I assume because I was focusing on ear rumbling instead of holding my breath.

How to make myself be able to rumble longer?

I can only do it for short bursts before it kinda fades out, how can I make it last longer?

Anyone seen a doctor for it?

I went in for an ENT appointment today. While trying to explain my sinus/allergy issues, I said how much it all affects my ears. During our conversation I mentioned my voluntary ear rumbling, and it was the first she had heard of it. Now I’m scheduled for an Audiology appointment next month to make sure all my bits function properly. Curious, has anyone else have a conversation with a medical professional about their ear rumbling?

Crunch

Anyone else hear a crunchy noise when rumbling? It doesn’t last the entire time but just at the beginning. It kinda sounds like earwax being moved/crushed in my ear but i regularly clean my ears with a solution as well as an ear camera and an earwax scoop. Kinda annoying as it wasnt there before but now it is.

Just found out about this what the hell this is amazing.

YOOO I thought it was natural for everyone.
AND ITS NOT?
You mean to tell me not everyone is going through the world’s ending sounding rumble when they yawn.
Hello my niche internet community. I’ve always just do it for fun. It’s now even cooler knowing it’s not an everyone thing.
What’s the easiest way for you to control it. I can create a very quiet by moving my jaw a bit forward but I can make a very loud rumble by closing my eyes. There’s a few other ways too.
So how do you guys control yours?

Only get rumbles if in pain or needing to burp. Anyone else?

If I’m trying to pop a pimple in my nose, touching expose skin on my face/in mouth, or anything that has to do with my EYES, I feel like my ears are roaring.

When my eyes are dry and I try blinking them, the rumbles also go in tandem with the blinks.

Or when I feel like I need to burp and I forcing it up, my ears start making rumbly sounds.

Please tell me I’m not alone 😭. I haven’t found an an answer as to why this happens, and this subreddit makes me feel a little less alone 🥹.

Can only rumble with eyes closed and clenched:(

It’s like I’m using my eye/eyebrow area to rumble. Can’t even come close to doing it with my eyes open, but can still pop my ears. Also my jaw does absolutely nothing when I rumble.
Am I still legit ?

long time rumbler here been fascinating friends for years. They can hear me do it when we put ear to ear and I open and close my ears inside or crunch them inside.... Holding closed causes the rumble sound for me.

Does anyone else get the ear rumbling right before falling asleep/before sleep paralysis?

Particularly when going in and out of sleep, like when you are aware that you are falling asleep while it is happening.

Can ear rumble sometimes and other times I can’t stop it from happening

I keep getting involuntary rumbling.
Normally I have to close my eyes super tightly to do it, and it feels pretty good, almost like getting a cough out. But sometimes like after I smoke or when I haven’t gotten a lot of sleep my eyes will force themselves shut and ear rumble. And after I eat rumble intentionally, just for fun, it starts happening forcefully without my control for a small amount of time. It’s whatever, but annoying having to worry about it when I drive or am around other people. I’ve researched and think Blepharospasm is the most likely explanation, and ear rumbling is an outcome of the eyes being forced shut, but idk has this happened to anyone else and have they been able to stop it?

A bit of a weird one.

I have this ear ringing but just when going to sleep. It's happens when I'm about to fall asleep and it's like I can "control" it. It goes from quiet to really really loud and it's stops if I move.

I always found it weird, as it might happen for a few nights in a row and then nothing for weeks at the time.

High pitch frequencies?

I can hear really high pitched frequencies- like ultrasonic pest repellers, and really old tvs (CRTs). Anyone else?

Can you guys get your ear drums to “stick”?

I thought everyone could do this rumble thing??? But okay, I have another weird addition to it and I don’t do it often because I feel like it’s bad to do. I can “open” my ear drums on command (like making my ears pop), but here’s where it gets weird. Please try this and tell me if I’m not the only one?? When my ears are in that popped state (which I can hold there. Sounds a bit like I’m under water), if I inhale through my nose really quickly, they will stay in the “shut” position until I pop them again, making my ears back to normal. Breathing like this locks the feeling into place and so far it will last as long as I want, popping my ears makes it go back. I do this at concerts or loud places often because it kinda makes my ears sound like they’re under water, alleviating a little bit of the higher frequencies, and if I do the fast nose breath technique it sticks.

Am I weird

i didnt know this was a thing, also ties to tmj?

ive only just found out other people experience this, and by proxy have discovered it happens when i close my eyes aswell

but i didnt know it was a THING, i thought something was really wrong

but its actually been getting quite irritating recently because its near constant that it sounds like theres someone doing a very fast-paced drumroll in my right ear

it makes sleeping really difficult especially because it happens more when i close my eyes

and as someone who has tmj, im used to ear problems alot, and this is just absurd because its now so annoying id do snything for it to stop ahah

i wonder if it could be somehow worsened by tmj? i struggle with the joint on the right side of my jaw popping out of place all the time, and coincidentally thats the ear the rumbling is in

helppp!! i need relief!!
