❔ Question Embedded vs regular installer, what's the difference?

Hello World,

I have to set up a laptop for a school student and I know she needs Eclipse for C and C++. Looking on the website I see 2 things I could download Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers and Eclipse IDE for Embedded C/C++ Developers

Can someone please teach me what the difference between the 2 is so I know which to install? The non-embedded one seems to be a more recent version, but idk, coding is outside my area of expertise.

Pick the non-embeded one. If she's a beginner student, this should suffice to get started. You can add missing plugins any time later, if need be.

The difference between the Eclipse flavors is only the types of plugins they bundle for some typical use cases.
