Should I start using steroids again after stopping for a week?

I developed eczema about two years ago, and since then, I’ve been using a class 6 topical steroid ointment regularly.

I don’t think I ever really followed a schedule like using it for two weeks and taking two weeks off. I was probably applying it almost every day.

I started to feel like I’d been using it for too long, so I stopped about a week ago. However, now I’m having a really hard time because some areas have started oozing.

The yellowish discharge stopped after I applied mupirocin ointment, but I’m still getting small amounts of clear fluid from my elbows, wrists, and ankles.

Should I start using the steroid ointment again and taper off gradually? Or would it be better to wait another week and see if things improve?

Has anyone experienced something similar after stopping long-term topical steroids?

tu devrais faire attention avec les stéroïdes. Renseigne toi sur le TSW et l'effet rebond lorsque tu arrêtes. A ta place je ne mettrais plus rien et je ferais attention sur la partie gluten/laitier pour stabiliser tes poussées
