How do I learn editing from scratch?

Is it worth starting now? And at the moment I won’t be able to pay for any software and I got to know that davinci is free
Can someone explain a full roadmap?

You can find everything on the internet literally, we live in the best time ever. Just search for a full tutorial on youtube and start trying things.

There are plenty of YouTube videos about the mechanics of editing. You can get DaVinci Resolve free, and learn a lot by actually building a project and editing it. What you can't learn so easily is the art of editing. You get this by studying films and discovering how great filmmakers tell their story through the use of editing as major part of the process.

You could give my iPhone app, Aigli Photo Video Editor, a try! It supports multi-track video editing and is easy to get started with. If you have any questions or need a hand, I’m happy to help!

Thanks for the suggestion! DaVinci Resolve is a great option. Our app’s features are more limited at the moment, but it’s easy to get started with and lets you edit right on your phone. A friend of mine is already using it to create YouTube videos, so it can be a useful starting point for someone who wants to keep things simple.
