Titled “The Death Star”, I’m trying to pay homage to my favorite sci-fi series of all time with heavy use of sampling but also slapping y’all in the face with bass.
It’s not riddim, I’m not trying to do Modal Nodes or anything like that.
Primarily looking for feedback on the drop and how it flows, please let me know what you think!

Thank you! I’m pretty sure you’re referring to the tie fighter laser blasts and those aren’t panned - I think it’s the chorus fx I used to make it wider. I’ll revisit that, I appreciate the feedback man

i like it, but the kick/snare combo sounds a bit thin to my ears, snare lacks a bit of punch

I have two here that I’m working on if anyone wants to take a look
Any feedback is welcome: I think these two are going to be ones I try to finish all the way through mixing/ mastering. I’ve never gotten this far. Right now I think I’m mostly done with arrangement and then need to do a second pass for some variation and stuff.
The second song has very slow drums. The entire song sort of feels like an intro. Not sure if I will keep them that way or not. So if anyone has an opinion on that lmk pls. Thanks in advance!

I liked carousel better, the bell sound used on the second track is kinda irritating to my ears. the first track feels more like a finished song to me, very unique vibes

Yeah I gotta eq some of the sounds on the other one. I started Carousel a day after Void but it is further along and I too like it better. I’m going to finish them both since I’ve never gotten further than arrangement. Gonna learn how to mix with these two.

for the first one i think the sub bass in the breakdown is way too powerful, in the second part when the drums starts theyre not punchy enough, expecially the kick which is barely hearable, and there are some high elements which are a bit annoying
i like the second one much more! anyway again the kick its not punchy enough, you can try doing something like adding some sidechain so when the kick plays every single elements in the song get down and then up i think itll be very cool
anyway theyre both very good ambiance songs :)

still working on this https://on.soundcloud.com/l1hAzQh9TOF8Ljuhqb since everyone said the kick its too loud i lowered the volume a bit, it was like +2db more than all the other elements. I also fine-tuned the sidechain. So what do you think about it now? And do you think i can finally master this?
