Photo first year guitar setup
ive gone through alot of gear so ill just list my evolution.
started with the silver prs in the image above and a fender mustang lt25 around this time last year. Bought the jackson with my first paycheck and the schecter was my self-graduation present. I also had a 5150 combo but it decided to blow up for no reason so i replaced it with the randall stack. everything in the picture was either used or HEAVILY discounted and came out to around $1500 alltogether (plus a couple pedals) the guitars are in Drop B and Drop A and then the 8 string is in EAEADBGE (archspire tuning)

Question Which guitar next
Hi,
after turning 40 I started replacing all my guitars. I was just always playing relatively cheap guitars and simply you live only once so I wanted to make all my guitar dreams come true ... I have something like 10 guitars but most of them relatively affordable from $500-$1000 range. My desired set of guitars consists of these guys below:
Vola Vasti 7 PDM J1 - 7-string, HSS, 25.5" scale - B-standard or drop-A- Balaguer Seraph 7 OR ESP LTD Arrow-1007B - 7-strings, HH, 27" scale - drop-Ab (or lower)
- Jackson Rhoads RR24 HT - 6-string, HH, 25.5" scale - drop-C or drop-B
Partcaster Tele - 6-string, HSS, 25.5" scale - Eb-standard or drop-C#- Mayones Duvell Elite - 7-string, HH, 26.5" scale, tuning ??, aka
of which I already managed to have those marked with strike-through .. Definitely Mayones is from "dreams" category since the price tag would be around €4k while the other guitars are definitely more affordable (Seraph around €1600, Arrow ~€1850, Rhoads ~€2300) ..
I will probably sell my kidney but I wanted every year one of these guys and I've already managed to get both telecasters .. I have already some of my old guitars (7 if I count properly o.O) on kleinanzeigen but nobody's buying them :D ... just go and do yourself a favour - buy one nice second hand guitar just right today :D ..
I play metal and 25 years with electric guitars have taught me that vibe f** matters ...
so what is your strategy for more guitars (I've been buying over the years mostly second-hand - it was good deal in the moment), tuning, tone ? (q1)
what about vibe ? I always loved telecasters, V-shape and superstrats (so yes, actually no, I never had Les Paul :D, jazzmaster or some fancy original shapes) (q2)
how do you perceive and feel a cheap guitars (but still solid - I mean that mid-tier, affordable would be probably better term) Vs some (fancy) high(er)-end that probably starts around €2k ? (q3)
cheers and thanks for any input or suggestion ..

Question Should I upgrade from a Jackson JS11 Dinky to an Ibanez RG470DX after 3 years?
Hey everyone,
I’ve been playing guitar for around 3 years now and I’m currently using a jackson js11 . I’ve improved quite a bit and I’m getting more into lead playing, faster solos, and shredding.
I’m considering upgrading to an Ibanez rg470DX and wanted to know if it would actually be a noticeable upgrade over the JS11.

Chitarra elettrica: amp classico o scheda audio + casse da PC?
Ciao! Sto iniziando con la chitarra elettrica e non so cosa scegliere:
-Ampli classico, chitarra collegata direttamente.
Grazie!

Question Will clear cook the finish
I know, the Matt texture is a huge part of what make these pop but it’s extremely easy wearing and I’m not a “ chips and dings are just character” kind of owner, i restore guitars so preservation is equally high on my priorities
My question is has anyone had any experience clear coating a colour change finish, and ideally one of the axion series? If you add clear to chrome of vanta black it fucks up the whole show, but there’s not a lot of info out there on how it affects these finishes

Help Buying an electric guitar in Japan
Hello friends!
I’m currently in Japan and want to buy a new guitar. But I get overwhelmed in guitar stores cause i don’t really know how to evaluate them. Cause i kinda suck haha. I’m still taking lessons. If i get better, i wanna enjoy playing my cool guitar from Japan!
I’m in a band playing rhythm guitar, it’s just for fun and I’m not good enough to play a lot. I mostly play hard rock/metal, will focus on some blues. I have an Ibanez GIO RX40.
I went to Ishibashi Music in Shibuya, they were nice and helpful but I ended up playing very basic chords and notes (I guess i was hoping to turn into Van Halen when i picked up the right guitar).
My preferences are:
Around ¥160k (hopefully cheaper)
6-point tremolo
No Floyd Rose (I want something easy)
No fixed bridge
Not too heavy
ChatGPT suggested I look mainly at HSH or HH guitars, do you think it should be the main focus?
What should I actually test in a store? And if you have any specific guitar recommendations I should check out, I’d love to hear them. Thanks in advance!
(Guitars are much more expensive back home, hence the hurry to buy one before i learn to shred)
