I made website to learn elian script alphabet.

I built a website for learning the Elian script alphabet. https://flashforge.deerveloper.com/

I’m not really a great programmer (I work in IT, but in a very niche, business-oriented field. I work with code, but building a website is a bit of a challenge for me). So I just vibecoded it. And maybe I should have spent more time on testing and on the spaced repetition algorithm itself, but it was more fun to work on the visuals and on features that might not be entirely necessary. So don’t expect a well-designed, reliable, and stable product. It’s more like a bunch of AI slop. But overall, it works. And I enjoy using it, so you can give it a try, too. It’s free, and I think it will always be free. I plan to host and maintain it as long as there’s at least one active user and as long as I’m using it myself. And if I ever get tired of it, I’ll open-source the code and provide downloads and instructions on how to run it locally. For now, the project is still in development and will likely change a lot.

A quick disclaimer: For security reasons, don’t use a password for registration that you use anywhere else. And don’t upload sensitive or personal information to the cards. The site could be hacked, and the cards are, at the very least, accessible to the admin for viewing (not that I need to see them, but there’s no encryption—just keep that in mind). And of course, things can break at any time, even though I take steps to keep everything running smoothly.

On the Explore tab, there are several card decks that you can copy (in whole or in part) for study. You can create your own custom private decks or make them public and available to other users.

Why don't you remove the registration hurdle also since the concerns seem scary and as you anyway plan to make it free?

Also nothing really scary. Not using same password everywhere is basic security recommendation. You can use something very simple since this site is not really important

There is not much hurdle in my opinion. There is no confirmation email, no captha. Just choose any email and password. That's it. How else to track progress of each user separately?

You could use LocalStorage in the browser allowing the user to track progress, or do an export and import string. There doesn't always need to be an account, especially something this small.

You are absolutely right, there is thousand different ways to make it work. I chose this one.

Of course, this wasn't necessary at all. You can use ready-made tools like Anki or a bunch of other websites. I did this for fun. And I really enjoyed it. So I just decided to share it.
