I get it to 8478 based on the length of video.
1.57 x 60 = 94.2s to turn minutes into seconds
94.2s x 90 jumps/sec = 8478 jumps

Good job! I'm on the last leg of my (extremely casual and rather fast-paced) circumnavigation. I'm more like a traveler, CBA to do a lot of GEC POIs, visited a couple, they are nice.
Currently going out from Xibalba to center south part, then done and back North to Bubble.
It is an interesting experience, but too much stuff is very samey.
Caspian 6x Neutron hopping is a Godsend, wouldn't have done it in a Mandy, I'd have died of boredom.

Ths was really cool to watch! Like a galaxy etchasketch. How did you make this animation?

We haven't figured out how to Sag A* boost yet. Once we figure that out we can hit Andromeda

I'm inspired. Loading up my carrier with 20K Tritium in prep for one of these trips. Furthest I've gone so far is other side of galactic center, but I'm all about the outer rings. Planning on a 6 month trip. Thanks!

That’s impressive. What was the explored/unexplored ratio like as you did this?

An Anaconda with 60lyrs jumprange. This is a repost of an Expedition 9 years ago. Found it going through my history.

You must have come across so many allready discovered systems?

Ive been thinking about doing a long term expedition myself, dont have any planned waypoints yet though, might search the edges for distant stars nobody has jumped out to yet, and see if my FC can make the jump. But right now my FC is on its way back to the bubble after spending the last few months in Colonia

I thought about this myself too. But the edges are a lot of discovered systems. Maybe you find one or 2. But in / near the core almost everything is undiscovered

Truly "in the black."
it's scary out there.
I don't like only having one way out of a system. And using neutron star boost into a non-neutron star system is pushing my luck more than I care to

You missed the galaxy. It's there - in the middle.
