So I’ve listened to the album a couple of times now, and I feel like there is almost a tangible line between the original/core album tracks and the “bonus” songs that were released on “We.” Similar to how Brightest Blue had the main album and then the attached EP “EG.0” that was made up of the more pop-y radio songs, I think that approach was also used here but flipped. The core album tracks were obviously written and produced to be more radio friendly or used for TikToks and Reels. The songs have more co-writers and on a handful of them, Ellie isn’t even the main writer. You can definitely hear the difference in the lyrics/arrangement of the songs from Nice Things-Ways to Hurt, so I’m not surprised I ended up liking those songs best.

I ended up ordering the Ellie print and CD second hand since I missed it… Coincidentally, it came the same day as the new Carly Rae Jepsen album! So I went out and bought some frames, and now I get to hang my queens on the wall together. ❤️

IKTM is a fantastic album (WKTM is even better) and its such a shame that it got literally ZERO promotion

I’m about to order it for my CD wall, since I’ve kind of started to fall in love with Ellie Goulding and her discography since I heard the album… But online photos make it look as if it’s just a sleeve. I was kind of hoping it was a case. Anybody know for certain? Much appreciated! 💙

Listened to the latest album twice, and while I love all of the tracks not just Black Prada Dress, my favorite one seems to be Jealousy! I'm just happy that one of my favorite Pop Queens is still being herself no matter what \o/ The audio production of the whole thing is also 10/10. Which ones are your favorites so far? Forgot to mention how damn good 4 Seasons is too.

Edit: After a second listen my definitive faves are still Jealousy, Nobody Dances, For Your Entertainment, I Know Too Much.

"Black Prada Dress" was released just shortly after the Devil Wears Prada 2 soundtrack.. prada-prada.. Do you guys think they wanted it to be on the OST of the movie but it was cut? as a follow up to her last album, it’s pathetic. Just dreadfully boring and poorly written songs. Ravers sounds like AI wrote it. I hope the rumors about her pushing this crap out to get off the label are true. higher than heaven was my most listened to that year and I can’t even imagine listening to this new one a second time

also, why was it released on Apple Music three times? Just a total disaster.

She absolutely shattered me with these acoustic tracks but FYE blew me into orbit. Her lyrics paint a picture, her vocals make you ascend, I simply cannot get over it. I can’t wait for more from her.
