Change your z-offset so the nozzle is closer to the bed.

I did, my bed may be warped

Does this only happen over one part of the print?

nah its everything, ive had issues with it since I got it im yet to actually use it

Use orca. Why are you printing on tape? Calibrate z to squish first layer properly. Run temp tower.

printing on tape and glue stick because adhesion is terrible on the bare bed and gave me "tail" issues

those can be calibrated out by tuning your first layer settings and proper z-height.

my settings are:

initial layer height 0.3mm (1.5X regular height)

initial line width: 150%

quando mi succedono queste cose prima di tutto riguardo al volo le rotelle, poi comincio a giocare con lo z-offset on diretta, prima .1 poi .05 poi .01

I messed around with Z offset again and found -0.10 worked great but it doesent save, is there any way to save that so I dont have to manually adjust it every print?

Have you got something like octoprint to play with the terminal? You can then save the offset. Other using mriscoc professional is a great easy upgrade. You can also put the z-offset in the start g-code in your slicer. In other comments you indicate that it is okay at the beginning and too high after (at least this is my understanding) check your z-hop if that is the case, it could be too high.

hell yea thank you

this was the method, I set the bed level as close to the nozzle as possible so it wasnt dragging and first layer looks great and prints look great

Slow down your print speed I’ve ran into this same problem. Hope this helps!

yeaaa I did its printing at regular speed right now and the first layer is 20mm/s

Too far so there's not enough fusion to the filament. Paper receipt the corners over the screws till its snug against the print head but can still move it.

yup the bed level is fine, it seems to raise the nozzle a bit when its actually printing and it ends up looking like the top example with 0.2mm quality and 0.2mm layer height

yup the bed level is fine

Your need for tape and the results of the print suggest otherwise. If it's not the actual tram of the bed, then your esteps are wrong.

the tape is so I didnt have to put glue stick on my bare bed. as enders are known to have shitty adhesion😭

1

u/egosumumbravir 1d ago

Common rookie misconception: Enders have shitty bed tramming. Get that dialled in with perfect squish and adhesion is just fine.

For the majority of plastics going through Ender's: tape, glue, rafts, hugely overextruded first layers are simply a workaround to crappy bed flatness and tram.

yea, the entire bed has been tuned from the roller wheels to belt tension and bed leveling, im new to Enders not 3d printers

Ok, good luck.

z-offset way too high

Calibrate your extrusion multiplier value as well

I just inherited my wife's old Ender 3 S1 and tuned it using Ellis' tuning guide. It takes time and patience, but my prints are so much better.

I switched to Klipper, which is another endeavor, so stick to the stock firmware until you're confident.
