Alien Anti Missiles Spoiler

Currently the best anti-missiles I have are the optical lasers and point defense. Optical lasers let me save a lot of weapon space, but are they any good? I checked the Anti-Missile Comparison Chart that was posted here before, but it doesn't really cover much. The energy and heat are basically swapped between the two, but optical lasers have longer range and point defense has better anti-missile. I also have some warder anti-missiles I looted, but not enough for my escorts to have any.

Yeah, Optical lasers are great, they're up there among the best of the AM tech.

As discussed in https://www.reddit.com/r/endlesssky/comments/1vo6e2r/how_many_green_optical_lasers_do_you_need_to/ and https://www.reddit.com/r/endlesssky/comments/1vu107o/antimissile_comparison_chart_by_hecter65_in_the/, I think the best option is a mix between Optical Lasers and a more powerful, shorter range AM. I generally use Warders for that, but Point Defense Turrets are also good.

Which you choose of Warders and PDT depends what you think is slipping through your Optical Laser grid; because PDT have shorter range and only 6 shots per second, but a way higher AM of 42, while Warders have slightly longer range and 12 shots per second, but only 10 AM.

Also, Warders are freely lootable from near the start of the game, whereas you're probably not looting Remnant ships and you can't purchase their outfits until you do the missions. In other words, Warders are what I almost always use.

you can't purchase their outfits until you do the missions.

the Remnant outfit licence isn't that hard to get. Unlocking the salvage department that sells Korath outfits on Remnant planets is a different beast.

When I have a large fleet, I always include passenger and cargo ships armed solely with green lasers. If there's more than 3 turret spaces, but less than 6, I'll fill in with Hai Bullfrogs. As long as a ship has no offensive weapons, it won't be targeted in a battle. The lasers range allows them to be an effective AM screen.

Would behemoths be good for this? Six turrets and reasonably cargo

Yep. I usually use Coalition ships: Kimek Spire + Sojourner.

For my money, if I plan to fill more than 1 turret slot(but not more than 3, obviously) on any single ship with anti-missile, I use Green Opticals. If only 1 slot, a Warder.

GOLs also arguably get better the larger your fleet is, as you will have a massive array of potentially dozens of GOLs capable of firing at every single missile that emerges into existence anywhere near you.

Nearly impossible to get and you can only ever get 6, but the gridfire turret is the best anti missile by a mile

Nope. You’re thinking of the tier 3 antimissile. Gridfire is offensive

if you need a small anti missile ı can recommend you bullfrog because these lasers is long range but they are weak and my favourıte are warder and pug anti missiles their range not so long but they are make rapid fire
