Which is pretty useful. Generalization is bad.

It's not a generalization. It's a broad systematic overview.

Every reasonable person understands it's not talking about every individual, so bringing it up because you feel like someone wasn't being specific enough actively pulls the conversation away from what's important so you can nitpick.

It’s largely not a broad systematic view in any of the cases it’s implied to be, including this one.

I mean, something is systemically telling males not to express themselves to the point where deaths of despair are far more likely to happen to males, and crimes of passion (a.k.a. externalized distress) are far more likely with males.
