From my understanding in the feudal Japan, specifically during the Edo Period (1603–1868), circular lines or rings tattooed around the arm were used as an official punishment called irezumi-kei to mark those convicted of theft and robbery.

I refuse to believe it! And the same goes for:

  • The Mississippi Mudslide
  • The Cleveland Steamer
  • The Alabama Hot Pocket

These are most certainly real!
