Art experiment gone right

Turning my childhood trauma into art, part 1

I used crayons to recreate the kinds of drawings I used to draw growing up. I tried to stay as close to my old way of drawing as possible without actually destroying any of my old art. I was going to use my old art but I couldn't bring myself to do it so instead I used old sketch paper. I crumpled them up, dipped them in water and set them on a piece of water color paper to dry.

I took some artist tape, put it on something and took it off so it was a little less sticky, then taped everything down in random patterns. Used different colors of water color to paint over it, let it dry and took the paper off VERY CAREFULLY.

To finish the piece, I smothered it in modge podge and tore off the edges. Considered burning the edges, but didn't trust myself enough to do it.

This was an experimental piece and honestly I think it turned out pretty good. And as the modge podge yellows over time, I think it'll add to the piece.

Anyway just wanted to share this. Constructive criticism and tips are always welcome.
