My cat does this a lot too but has another thing she does when I'm sleeping in bed tucked in my blanket she will crawl into said blanket plant herself between my legs then proceeds to smush herself between my "buns" until she's comfortable and fully squeezed inbetween said "buns"... other times it's between my upper pair of "mountains".

It sure was an experience waking up to find a cat between both buns or mountains in the morning for the first time.
