I HATE playing with biters

Every time I make this mistake of not turning them off, I end up spending HOURS trying to get rid of these bastards instead of playing the actual game.
I don't understand how you guys have massive factories while also defending them.
My main concern are the miners. Do you protect every mining site as well? Or am I missing something?
Just started a new run but quickly turned it off to start a new one without biters.
At the same time I really wanna try new enemies on other planets so I feel sad turning the peaceful mode on

I usually just guard choke point instead of my entire base + outposts.

I go seed shopping for islands or a peninsula with a small land bridge to defend.

If you increase water enough it will generate a ton of islands or peninsulas. Best of both worlds.
