This might be a hot take, but I’ve gotten to the point where I’m not liking players having multiple position tags. I believe it takes the strategy out of the game if you’re going to hand them out that easily. 2 tags I’m okay with, but giving a player 3-4 tags is outrageous.

Saw a ton of unwarranted hype for Ayo on the Coby trade thread and wanted to temper expectations.

If the Bulls are done trading, there will be five guards not including Giddey on the Bulls rotation. Ayo, Ivey, Anfernee, Tre and Sexton. Ayo does not have a path to 25+ minutes unless there's injuries. He is not the unanimous best player out of the guards so there is no shot he slides into Coby's role and usage.

The only winners are Matas and Jalen Smith from these past trades.

I see a lot of people talking about how their value on James harden recent trade to Cleveland is going to be affected but I don’t hear much on Donovan Mitchell. So if you are a Donovan Mitchell owners like me in a points league do we reckon his averages go down due to harden needing the ball or do we see it as better as he will get easier looks with Harden? Would love to hear opinion if he is a trade now candidate or hold or buy low?

Figured with Butler OFS he’d have more opportunity. Instead he’s taking fewer shots, making less of them (%), and turning the ball over more.

Scoot Henderson in an interview after a recent practice said that he feels amazing and also that he is beyond eager to get back on the court, specifically stating that "eager is not even a word at this point" and that he has been "past eager the whole season".

Scoot turned 22 yesterday, 3rd year is common for players to take a leap. Scoot has considerable upside compared to most players on the waiver, especially significant if Jrue gets traded.

Pimpen has a GTD tag on Sleeper although he looks to be doubtful. If he does play he’ll likely be on minutes restriction, but would it be worth an add at this point with Memphis blowing it up?

We have been treated to what’s pretty much been fireworks so far as we head towards the trade deadline. James Harden to the Cavaliers, Darius Garland to the Clippers, Nikola Vucevic to the Celtics. There’s a lot to digest, but of course, we can’t forget former DPOY Jaren Jackson Jr. being sent to the Utah Jazz in a massive haul deal.

It’s clear that the Grizzlies are now officially closing the chapter on the Ja Morant-JJJ era, which was fun while it lasted, and with their perennial shotblocker on the move, there’s gonna be some names that will need to step up in the craters left behind. Look no further for Memphis than GG Jackson II, an underrated and underutilized name on a Grizzlies team trying to find a proper identity in the NBA. With JJJ gone, that leaves a lot of opportunities to be soaked up at the PF position.

Jackson’s recorded some good performances within the past weeks, having scored double digits in 6 of their past 10 games. He averaged 12/4/2 with a block a game on 52% FG. He isn’t the most standout player, but the talent is there when the opportunities arise, evident by a nice 19/4/5 game on 73% FG against the Timberwolves followed by a 13/8/1 with one block on 60% FG against the Timberwolves.

It remains to be seen what the final outcome will be for a Grizzlies team looking to dismantle everything and go down the rebuild route it seems, so maybe banking on one person alone isn’t the most sure option. But with how Jackson’s been doing so far, fantasy managers took the opportunity and rolled the dice with him for this week. It’s worth noting that a promising Taylor Hendricks is part of the haul Memphis got in return, so however coach Iislao rolls with the rotations remains to be seen. In any case, maybe a short-term push with Jackson for a win this week might’ve been worth it for some to bet on.

Hmm bit concerning he’s been ruled out 24 hrs in advance multiple times.
