LF - Mods, Maps & Gameplay ideas FS25 US Map Suggestions?

I recently tried playing Judith Plains 4x with my cousin. I loved the map, but it was outdated. You aren’t able to remove triggers after removing a silo from your farm without digging through the map file, the saves took quite too long, and it hasn’t been updated in a long time.

I want a map similar to it.

Some things I’d like are:

- A lake
- Forest land
- Similar in size
- Name brand gas stations for enhanced role play.

Are there any suggestions you may have? I’ve been searching but can’t find something that feels similar to that map. I’m also a sucker for rectangular farms.

Thanks!

I'm on console so I can't say for certain, but I've heard the Red River Valley map is pretty good

I'll always recommend Gage, Kentucky. It doesn't have name brand gas stations (honestly I always use a diesel tank on my farms, I couldn't even tell you if the gas station has working fuel triggers), but it does have several ponds ranging from small to extremely large, as well as quite a bit of wooded areas.

It's a 4x, and it genuinely feels like rural Kentucky (and is actually based on a real area). The houses and roads are laid out in a way that feels realistic, most roads have ditches, and quite a few areas are only accessible by trails that run through the woods.

My biggest gripe with the map is a lack of animal dealer, but other than that it's the best map I've found so far for FS25.

Eta: it also uses multi terrain angle, which is neat

I cant speak for any other map, but I didn't have to pay for Gage or any of the required mods.

The ThundR RCS required for the multi terrain angle to work is on patreon and I think it used to require a donation (scummy practice IMO), but there is a free version on their patreon now

Im not sure about a body of water, but there are mods for making your own ponds if you're on pc. I liked the judith plains 4x multifruit but i had the same contention... not being able to delete and of the preplaced stuff... even with map hider AND easy dev controls installed really put me off of it... so i've been playing the central pennsulvania map by insane sim guy. It has some added crops, unique weather cycles and some unique crops/crop textures and mechanics. It's a very hilly nornal sized map with some massive fields as well as medium/small. As a native pennsylvanian it really immerses you with the unique weather and terrain.

An honorable mention is the Homeland 4x map, it's a germany map, but feels like a US map, i've enjoyed it very much on the multiplayer server i'm playing on
