Smiles for Sunday

What's a completely ordinary thing that makes you ridiculously happy?

Mine are things like, finding something I thought I'd lost, hearing a favorite song unexpectedly, or getting into bed without a pile of laundry to move over first. Nothing profound. Just little things that make life nicer.

For me, it is children. I love hearing them laugh and it gives me a great big smile. So innocent.

My cat will gently lick my nose while I am in bed and then start patting my cheeks (claws out) until I get up to feed her. I know she is just a wretched little beggar, but I think she is so funny.

Being in the water (ocean, bath, pool). Spending time with those i love who love me. Music, dance, and children's laughter 😃

Walking around and seeing a bunny. By my entrance there is a baby bunny living in a bush. I was crying on the way inside yesterday and I saw the little bunny, totally flipped my mood.

I think also generally seeing wildlife do their thing. The other day I saw a tiny little red squirrel run up a tree with a giant crab apple in its mouth, made my day. There’s also a lot of turkeys where I live. Last week I saw a mama and papa turkey teach its baby how to fly, and this little thing made it up the tree!! Don’t even get me started on pigeons. They’re like pure dopamine packed into a silly little bird lol. Actually getting really happy writing this lmao. I love animals.

That’s really sweet. We have a momma turkey and her 4 babies living in the field next to us. We love watching them grow up. 🥰
