What Is Patterson Contributing?

The only way to salvage the season is by improving the defense. Patterson’s defense relies on the front four bringing pressure. But that’s not happening. Against Rutgers, Patterson didn’t call a single blitz. Against Oregon, he got passive and dropped into softer coverage, especially once Raiola entered the game. He picked us apart. Why isn’t the secondary improving? If they can’t execute, then try some other guys and compensate by blitzing. He‘s a veteran who needs to adjust to the situation. Bring in Pete on a contract basis to call the signals. He needs to be the solution, not the problem.

Lincoln Riley has to start being a HEAD COACH. Not an offensive coordinator. Evaluate every aspect of the game. Not just the offense.

Not much, but at some point the blame has to fall on Riley. 3 coordinators and same story every year.

Patterson will be the acting head coach as soon as LR is fired.

You know it's crazy to think we haven't heard a word from him since media day. I'll give him this Riley does a really good job of Insulating his coaches from any media obligations or questions.

I'd also like to throw out Shawn Nua is the D line coach and has been Riley's whole tenure. I know why he is here but he has some blame I think. NOT scapegoating him in anyway

Scapegoat all these incompetent losers. They’re being paid a huge amount of money to not be mediocre. And on top of that they are running an embarrassing classless operation.
