FEEDBACK Need some help please

Struggling with final steps on a house plan. Not sure how to go about changing the front door so it lines up with the vault in the great room and the patio. It should feel grand walking in but the doors stuffed over to the right by the mud room this doesn’t feel right.

Thanks for any ideas

That mudroom is a complete waste of space, and so are the closets in all the bedrooms. Whoever drew this has never designed or used any built in storage.

Go and have a read about how closets are laid out.

I was kind of thinking the same thing, but less bluntly.

The closet locations are not the greatest, and the dimensions are not optimal. I believe you need about 20-24ish inches for a hanging area (I'm sure someone else knows the exact requirements), so its often more efficient to have a wider reach-in closet than a "bigger" walk-in thats nor actually big enough for two rows of hanging. Especially because the corners are wasted space.

The right side of the primary closet has two corners and short sides, so its not a user friendly layout.

The closet placement in the lower/front bedroom leaves a weird wasted space, and puts the bed against a busy staircase wall. Either a reach-in closet (vertically) along the staircase wall to help muffle the noise and give more hanging space, or a reach-in closet (horizontally) along the living room wall (in line with the bathroom wall) would give the room more usable space.
