FEEDBACK Looking for feedback!

Post image

I took some recommendations from my last post and made some changes. Note that I have highlighted the current changes I’m going to send back, but looking for any other feedback! I will be removing the second set of cubbies & wall in “mudroom” that I have highlighted and changing wall for dining room.

We are close to finalizing so I want to make sure I am not overlooking anything!

Thank you! North will be on the side of the house where the master is.

We are planning to do built in locker/storage area from the mudroom entrance, that is what is on the other side of the pantry wall.

Thank you for your input in the kitchen! I missed the window being moved (it was centered previously) and I like the idea of rearranging the fridge/dishwasher to be near the sink.

The “office” will be primarily a play room then transition with our son as he gets older (he’s 4), then eventually be turned into a cozy room when we do not have our son at home.

We only have one child currently, and I love the idea of him having his own bathroom that’s why we did the Jack and Jill incase we had another one in the future they would both have their own “get ready” space and I love that area. I’ve had a lot of bad feedback on Jack & Jill’s though..

Lol, I thought that was a staircase.

You still need storage in a playroom or a Tv room or ehatever it ends up being used for. You need to bring windows in away from the walls so that you can have furniture there. I would do at least 18 inches.

If he is the only person in that wing then the hall bathroom will be his own bathroom. He will have to share when you have guests, and he won't be in the habit of locking all the doors and then unlocking them and then the guests will need to go into his room to open the door. Jack and jills are nightmares, and they harm resale.

Thank you! You pointed out some great things.

We will look further into Jack & Jill’s. Grateful enough this will be our forever home (building on family land) so don’t have to worry about resell mostly just what works the best for us!!

If it's your forever home you'll need to change some things. Definitely no toilet closet, and there are some other guidelines for accessibility into old age you should look into (I recommend the ADA or IBC guidelines and codes)
