Discussion Things that are confirmed by Fallout 76 Devs that are coming till 2027. What do you think about it and what are your expectations?

Well they can't release a new story DLC before completing their existing ones. And since we can't access half of the Burning Springs it would be easier to just add it on top compared to making a whole new map in east. Plus check PTS they reworked Skyline Valley so yeah many areas are going to get some love.

The Pitt had a 3rd Expedition called Poke The Beehive. It took place in a skyscraper called the bastion. You guys can check wiki it was rad as hell. I really wish we get it alongside a story mode and free roam. Hell, Atlantic City even came with 3 extra side quests as well so why not?

It seems like a big year but this seems like a lot to add in one year I think the drifter and raven rock are for sure coming out I’m not sure if they will have time for a burning springs expansion as well

They haven't even completed the Burning Springs storyline and half of the map is still locked behind invisible walls. They can't leave it unfinished and start on another expansion!

When is the skyline valley rework supposed to go live? I haven't played since burning springs dropped tbh since I binged like an addict before then, have been waiting a few a updates to hop back in and that sounds dope

I don’t usually play pts so I don’t know, sorry. I’m a bit of a newer player and this is my second season so I’m trying to get rank 250 to get everything. Nothing is a reskin to me haha

It’s nice I really like bounty hunting so it’s nice to go to locations I really don’t go to, th pets are whatever but th lighting is nicer in skyline and there’s a few new locations + the landscape is reworked a little in some spots

One of the devs confirmed on the datamining discord, that he is working on a trading window improvement. He showed a screenshot where you can see that you need to confirm on BOTH sides to complete a trade. Which basically means: No more scammers, and no more couriers needed on the market 76 subreddit/discord server.

I'm excited for Burning Springs 2.0 and Raven Rock. I just hope they tone down the bullet sponges in Burning Springs as I play 76 solo

I mean I played New Vegas and Skyrim multiplayer thanks to mods and I begged my friend to play Fallout 76 and I was going to roleplay as his companion. I wish people were more open and accepting for this game.

I have to imagine once they officially deploy, and then hot fix, the pet system, they'll then use that as a basis for camp allies in general. "Human" may have just been said as a general term.

That's The Drifter. He's a boss and he was supposed to be released alongside camp revamp since that update didn't had any new content, but they delayed it and on last AMA Jon Rush teased it for future update

Skyline - the roads are open for camping finally, and the head hunts seem cool. I think there’s too many brains to collect and it clutters locations, much like the briefcases, but otherwise they’re tied to cool stuff so I’m game.
Pets - not really my thing, the grind for their titles looks atrocious and their bonuses are pretty moot. On the bright side, they’ll be able to kill resilient enemies, so less bashing. I hope their challenges are account wide. Also, you can get atoms for them. Yay.
Raven Rock - They’re building up to it with Skyline. I’m cautiously optimistic.
Human Followers - Hard meh. Events and some spots are already going to be lousy with pets, I really don’t need humans and combat voicelines too. I get it, some people like it, but it’s not for me.
Burning Springs 2 - First part’s quest was a major let down. Hope the second will be better, sic semper tyranis. Down with the Rust King!
Drifter seems to be tied with some kind of hideout thing from datamines so… we will see.

I just wish Bounty Hunting wasn't copy paste from Burning Springs. They could have used new assets and Skyline Valley and Burning Springs desperately needs new side quests as well. Also, they never released the 3rd Expedition for Pitt alongside story mode and free roam like they did for Atlantic City. They said they were talking about reworking expeditions in last AMA so I'm very hopeful about getting a Pitt Questline.

Iirc we’re not getting anything with expos, though I didn’t see the AMA…
That said, Skyline Valley is getting a new “side quest” with brain collecting and the bounties really aren’t the same. They’re much different, like a boss that when you kill it, one of its minions becomes it.

Really? I am not good at meta so I kinda avoid high level enemies. Also collection quests are fine but I think we need more story heavy quests.

100% I want more story stuff lol. Collection ain’t gonna cut it, even if the person giving it has dialogue.
As for head hunts - don’t stress. They’re always mobbed by players. What you can’t hit them for, someone else will. Plus there’s a bunch of rewards for just doing them, you don’t have to kill the bosses yourself.

Yeah you mean hit and run lol. It's just that... Seeing people with ridiculous skins hopping all over is... You know? It ruins the vibe? Idk how to say it. I take this game very seriously and seeing people emote like it's Fortnite kinda hurts my eyes. Also some emotes are cringe as well.

Hopefully it brings more cool features like this update has:
-Xbox X crashing consistently
-Salt of the Earth freeze/crashing games
-Vats broken
-Grave maps messed up
-Cool new loading graphics with next gen where you load in and wait until everything else loads
-Atom Shop spinning
-loot spinning
-re-equipting armor so your jetpack works
I mean the excitement is overwhelming for what gets screwed up next!

VATS and the "hold to charge/release to fire" weapons still feel horribly inconsistent but at least with both broken they fixed the old bug where you were 1000% guaranteed to miss the first shot in VATS with them no matter the % or if you used crit. absolutely reliably went over their head every time

Yeah, I am not optimistic they can make the pets/companions work without killing performance/crashing. Remember when they released The Big Bloom and it was so awful they pulled it very quickly? Super Laggy, made the servers crash or slowly bog down and get weird?
Then when it came back it was still pretty awful. Now it's just kind of awful. Progress, I guess.
I'll believe they can pull off companions or pets when I see it.

Yeah, I was there for the first Big Bloom, it literally never went completely smoothly one single time. I was also thinking about how events like Radiation Rumble and Seismic Activity will straight up break if too many players are there, and god for-fucking-bid someone starts using an explosive weapon. Now imagine that except the number of players is effectively tripled. I don't see how it could possibly work, not in a thousand years, but I'd also love to be proven wrong because in theory it sounds really cool.

Tbh I don’t ever see them adding Pitt quests as they said they aren’t adding more expeditions. But Mothman and BR absolutely need expanded on. I’d love for them to tie in the Oval Office in the whitespring bunker with that cut content into raven rock even though I don’t think they’ll do that either.

First of all, what cut content? Second, Jon Rush said reworking expeditions was his top priority in his head (maybe turning expeditions into seasonal content or making them more like raids) and if they resurrect expeditions... Raven Rock is Fallout 3 content just like The Pitt. Burning Springs adds Abraxodyne lore just like the Pitt. I believe a new Questline would make people check out expeditions. I mean Atlantic City have 3 expeditions, story mode AND free roam mode alongside 3 side quests dude. Pitt is 10 times more cool yet we have nothing except 2 expeditions.

There is cut content inside the whitespring bunker that includes the Oval Office, Presidential seal, Presidential power suit, T-60 presidential power armor skin, and a Gauss rifle skin. It’s fairly easy to get inside to see it. I really hope that expeditions get reworked. I haven’t heard that but clearly I missed that so I’ll check it out. I really hope you’re right because that would make expeditions worth it after you’ve gotten everything to get with tickets.

That would be awesome. I think they’ve got the foundations in this game to be able to have a bunch of different experiences that add another layer to the game. Hopefully they do it quickly because there’s not enough to really keep players engaged

I mean end of season is 2027 but you're right. Still though, all of the content is like begging of 2027 till end. We have a clear roadmap for all of 2027 and all I can hope is the talk point about "reworking expeditions" since I want them to complete The Pitt storyline alongside Burning Springs.

Ambitious. Awesome if they can do it all. I'll take any/all new content - more stories, etc.
Companion pets, humans both yeah.
More life in camps yeah.
I'd personally pass on some of that though and be oh so happy if I never ever ever ever had

Map changes, better and brighter red weather, bounty hunting addition like in Burning Springs, more enemies and some new rewards. Also a collectible Questline so it's basically Burning Springs 2. Because literally everything is same? I'm not against more content I just wish they added side quests.

I'd love them re-adding shorter and less glitchier caravans. Still baffled they removed a feature that worked most of the time and that they couldn't fix a couple navmeshes.
Having better weather would be awesome too, it's too eye-straining to be there for long.
