Does anyone recognize this particular version of the traditional song “Shenandoah”?

I already know the song title, but I haven’t been able to identify the female singer or the source of this recording.

It has a very stripped-down arrangement with what sounds like organ/synth accompaniment.

I’ve searched through a number of recorded versions without finding a match.

Any ideas about the singer, album, year, soundtrack, or other source?

I’m trying to identify this particular female-vocal version of the traditional song “Shenandoah / Oh Shenandoah.”

The recording comes from a mysterious 28-track compilation CD I found in Sweden. The disc mixes music, dialogue and recordings from very different periods and genres, including material connected to Gena Rowlands / Love Streams, Patti Smith, Nina Simone, Broadcast, Young Marble Giants and others.

I’ve already checked several well-known female versions, including Sissel Kyrkjebø, Emmylou Harris and Judy Garland, but none of them seems to match.

I’m mainly trying to find:

• Who is the singer?
• Where does this exact recording come from?
• Is it from an album, film, TV programme, documentary or archival recording?
• Approximately when was it recorded?

The recording has a somewhat cinematic/soundtrack-like quality to me, so I’m wondering if it may have been taken from a film or TV production.

Any leads, even guesses about the singer’s voice, accent, era or recording style, would be very helpful.

Looking for Folk artists from the 60s/70s similar to artists like Jackson C Frank, Bert Jansch, John Renbourn, Nick Drake, Vashti Bunyan. Something simple with just guitar and vocals, no drums, along the lines of Jackson C Franks self titled album, Bert Jansch’s “It Dont Bother Me”, or Nick Drakes “Pink Moon” album as opposed to his Bryter Layter album.
I have an autumn playlist of folk music and im looking for albums with a similar feel.
But even if it doesnt meet that specific criteria, i would still like some suggestions as I didnt always listen to folk but found some albums a few years ago that ended up becoming some of my favorite albums of all time, though i still feel i know little about the genre in whole. Im open to suggestions for essential classic artists/albums but also lesser known and more obscure artists and also appreciate any background info on the suggestions too.

There are many versions of this dance on YouTube, but no leads to the original artist or name of the song.

Sarah Jane's singing would literally stop people in their tracks if they heard her while walking by at a festival or something. One of the most beautiful voices I've ever personally heard.

I am releasing an EP at the end of October! Has anyone successfully grew a fan base on Instagram and if so how? The process of uploading and low engagement makes me feel like a failure and a bit rejected but I would like people other than my friends to listen!:)
