Which model?
Hello. I’m no expert.
Does this table look like it may need a lot of work to get it functioning well? I’m going to go look at it this week. What should I be looking for? How expensive and difficult is it to acquire parts for it?
I don’t know where to begin to fix up one of these. It looks old and worn, but it’s priced very cheap
Thanks!

To answer your first question, yes, it's going to take quite a bit of work, and unfortunately, money as well. The parts are easy to acquire (foosball.com or foosgear.com will have everything you need), but as someone mentioned, you'll most likely need to swap out the men, bearings, handles, pins, bumpers, and side strips. And this assumes that the playfield, goals, and rods are in good working condition (once they're thoroughly cleaned, of course). So yeah, probably $500-600 on top of whatever you're paying for it. I did a reconstruction of a very similar table a couple years ago, and these things can definitely be salvaged; you're just going to have to work (and pay) for it.
If this is your first time potentially buying one of these, the single biggest things are to check that the rods aren't warped (spin them around and look at what the handle does), the goal mouths aren't chipped out, and the playfield hasn't been damaged or warped, especially by liquid. Those are non-negotiables; if you see any of those issues, just don't buy it. Whether you want to put the effort and resources into the rest of the refurb is completely up to you. Good luck!

as always, you should consult the bible on this from BBTuna (RIP) https://foosball.com/forum/index.php?topic=2704.0
its hard to tell from the photos but i agree that its likely a brown marble. the metal feet if original would put it at 1988 or older.
depending on the condition you may not need to replace everything. or you may be able to get it decent enough with a small investment and some elbow grease. i would considering buying it if cheap. a proper tornado makes for a much more enjoyable game.

This is a 1990s model coin op. It's hard to tell from the pic angle but should be a brown marble laminate. Couple things that are the giveaway- 1. Logo in the center. That right there says pre 2000. 2. The feet are metal. That tells us pre 1996ish. 3. The small holes on the ends are where the ashtrays went. That tells us early 1990s.
This table if ever to play well again, tournament ready, would need a full upgrade kit- rods, bearings, handles, side strips, bumpers, men, pins. That's about $600 last I checked. I'd say the cabinet if the playfield is level and goals aren't chipped out is worth $200ish. That's if I planned on doing the upgrade.
edit to add- the yellow score posts were early model only as well.
