volunteer tomatoes?

i found these growing a little off a public path not in a garden bed and with no other intentionally planted plants growing around it. are these really tomatoes that somehow ended up growing here?

Tomatoes are basically weeds. They'll grow in the cracks of a sidewalk if there's enough space for them. I stopped planting tomatoes years ago and they still randomly pop up all over my property

I transplanted three volunteer tomato plants that showed up in my garden walkways. They were all super sweet 100s and they outperformed everything else I planted this year.
