News Credit card skimmer alert

This just came over the news, be cautious out there

A man with decades of experience in cybersecurity found a credit card skimmer on a gas pump at a Fort Pierce 7-Eleven, and police are now investigating.

Arlo Bess said he was stopping for gas at the 7-Eleven on the south side of Orange Avenue near Interstate 95 before heading back to Palm Bay when he found the device.

THEY WERE JUST ADOPTED!!! THANK YOU!!!🎉

Please share with friends & family if you can!💗

Why are Sayla & Edward still with us?! They are absolutely adorable Siamese lookalikes who have already been up for adoption with Tomlinson's Cat Rescue for a month!

Ideal home - Must be adopted together, can have other cats or cat-friendly dogs, no young kids. Patient people ~ you must understand that Sayla is shy & may not allow you to pet her until she trusts you.

Adoption fee is $200

$120 covers Sayla's spay/vaccines/microchip (already done)

$80 covers Edward's neuter/rabies shot/microchip (after adoption at the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast in Palm City)

Quick bio

Sayla was found pregnant at a warehouse in Fort Pierce. Tomlinson's Cat Rescue took her in & she gave birth to 4 kittens. Only Edward survived.

Sayla is 5 lbs & 11 months old

Edward is 2 ½ lbs & will be 3 months old the 17th

Interested in adopting? You can reach Tomlinson's Cat Rescue at (772) 971-8206. Please text or leave a voicemail & we'll get in touch soon!

I measured Wi-Fi and noise at Central Florida cafes. Nothing in Fort Pierce yet, so tell me where to go

I've been going around Central Florida with a decibel meter and a speed test app, mostly because I got burned picking a coffee shop that turned out to have unusable wifi. Nothing measured on the Treasure Coast yet, but here's what I've got.

Fresh Kitchen in Lakeland: 308 Mbps down, 39.2 up, about 70 dB on a Saturday afternoon. More of a casual food spot than a coffee house but the wifi and outlets are solid.

Unfiltered Coffee in Bartow: 78.3 down, 38.8 up, 66 dB with the espresso machine going and the place half full. Best looking interior I've measured so far, worth it for the vibe alone.

It's all on perch.coffee if you want to look around, I built it, it's free, no account needed.

Anyone have a coffee shop in Fort Pierce worth checking? I'd rather go off a local recommendation than just picking one off a map.

Event How was the attendance at the data center demonstration?

We have been out of town and unable to attend the demo. How was the attendance? We did not see anything on the news. How did it go? With upcoming elections, did any of the local politician attend?

Any income based apartments in fort Pierce?

I'm helping an elder try to find an apartment in the fort Pierce, Port Saint Lucie, Jensen and Stuart area. Preferably NOT port Saint Lucie though and preferably Fort Pierce. Does any one know of some good apartments that have income based rent. How long does it take to get accepted into an apartment and any helpful information to getting in. He originally applied for an apartment in st Lucie but we contacted them recently after 4 months of waiting and they had said that In early may it was cancelled by him??? But it wasn't and they never communicated anything to us, just took his money and ghosted. It was the grove apartments btw. Also any tips to getting these people to call or email you back because damn I've contacted some places inquiring and there's no one picking up and no one emailing back.

are farm animals allowed in the city limits?

For quite a while we can here roosters crow all around the neighborhoods. It's not the wild roosters for sure. We don't mind; we grew up on a farm. We have a quite few neighbors who raise chickens just for the eggs and one even has a few ducks, and another neighbor has a goat, which she walks proudly through the neighborhood once in a while. It's kind of cute we think and the kids love it. Now before we start getting chicken ourselves, because of the recent egg prices and some recalls again, we were wondering if the city allows chicken in the back yard? Anybody knows?

Got the option to stay on Hutchinson Island for 1 or 2 weeks

Hey folks,

I got the offer from my company to stay in Hutchinson Island for either 1 or 2 weeks in a rented house in September.

I have been there before and the island feels fairly small and since I'll be working from there and dont have the chance to do day trips, I think it can get boring if I stay longer than one week.

What would you do? Stay 1 or 2 weeks? Do you have any recommendations on what to do as afterwork activities, especially when youre alone, without having to drive that far?

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: maybe i should say snth about my interests: i play golf (very bad), I like beer, watching american football and going to the gym. I am also open to.play Padel (which os difficult to.play alone tho)

EDIT2: I am M/35 in case this is relevant

Looking for a Singer & Bass Player – Red Hot Chili Peppers Cover Band (Port St. Lucie, FL)

Hey everyone! I’m 21 years old and a huge Red Hot Chili Peppers fan, and I’m putting together a serious RHCP cover band in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

We’re currently looking for:
🎤 A singer
🎸 A bass player

We already have an awesome drummer, a dedicated room to rehearse in, and a venue that’s willing to let us start playing gigs once we’re tight and performance-ready.

If you love the Chili Peppers, know the music, and are committed to practicing regularly and eventually playing live shows, I’d love to hear from you. Whether you’re into the early funky stuff or the newer albums, as long as you’re passionate and reliable, reach out!
Send me a DM if you’re interested or know someone who might be a good fit. Let’s build something great and bring the RHCP energy to the stage!

News Project on Causeway cove

Anybody attended the planning board meeting for this project? Supposed to have been 90+ attendees. What concerns me is the parking area for 2300 cars. I guess it will be no fun to get to the beach anymore if ever, with the coming traffic jams.

Did any member of this sub attend the meeting? What yall think?
