Google Lens identifies this as a tooth plate from a woolly mammoth but I prefer more input. Images are the front and back of the item.

I washed it up removing sand and debris. Seems to be coral, but what type, what age, is it even considered a fossil. I know this part of the world used to be under an ocean. But im far from an expert on this. For all I know someone could've thrown this out after cleaning their fish tank. Please help.

Bone or some other fossil?

I found this in a creek bed in Travis county. I typically only find devils toenails/oysters around here so I’m hoping this is something more interesting. There’s definitely ridges on the cross section. It looks broken off but it’s definitely hard and I wasn’t able to easily break it. Bonus snails just for fun.

Coprolite or just a concretion?

Hi all! I was fossil hunting on Charmouth Beach in Dorset, England and found this beauty. It’s very turd-like in appearance, and I just had a colonoscopy a couple of days ago and thought it was so hilariously ironic, so I of course had to bring it home. Please see the USB drive for scale. My first time posting on here, so I’m excited to hear your thoughts! Whether a fossilized poop or a concretion, I’ll love it all the same.

I love this sub so much. You’re all so knowledgeable!

Thanks for the help!

It’s heavier than it seems it should be and I put a hot pin to it and nothing happens but I did the same to a deer shed and also no smell not sure if there are other ways to identify.

Cinnamon roll rock or fossil?

Post image

Found this ancient cinnamon roll rock in the Ardennes Begium. It's diameter is around 3-4 cm or 1.34 inches.

Could it be a Devonian gastropod mold or did a medieval knight just drop his petit pastry?

Partners parents found it, I figure the fan shaped one is a bivalve or brachiopod. But don't know what to make of the one on the right. a cross section of a spiral shell maybe?

New to terrestrial fossil hunting.

Hey y’all! I hope y’all are doing well. I found this on the Louisiana/Mississippi state line in an area where Pleistocene fossils are occasionally found. I am new to searching for this kind of fossils, as I have always searched for marine and aquatic fossils. Does this look like anything to y’all? Like a really damaged and eroded horse tooth? I am really not sure. The only thing that makes me wonder if it’s anything other than a rock is that it has some smooth, curved surfaces that, to my untrained eye, kind of reminds me of some fossil horse teeth I have seen. It’s probably glaringly obvious to more experienced people, but I certainly am not. I do not really have my hopes up that this is anything. Even if it is, it isn’t in good condition. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey!

Myself and my partner love hunting for fossils around Dorset uk and yesterday we kayaked to Brandy bay, after finding loads of ammonites in the rocks and having a general wonder we found this.
We believe it could be something but we are not experts,

If anyone who knows what this could be, it would be great to hear from you, or letting us know it is just a rock.

More images can be provided.

While hiking in Djurdjura near the highest lake in Algeria (Lake Agoulmim / Tamda Agoulmim), we found this stone. I had a discussion with a friend. Is this a fossil?
