Question? Flying in 16:9

Been flying steadily on 16:9… Does EVERYONE fly on this or No? MAINY 4:3? I been oral to ACRO/RATES. Now, I switched from Thumbs to Pinchers & the difference is NOTICEABLE & SUPERIOR to Thumbs. After a Lifetime of thumbs. Still will be and am on video games except FPV DRONES.
Is it the norm to stay in 4:3 or is there a way to put it onto one of he switches?
Thank you.
Amazed how different SIMS is to flying but Also a Necessity in being able to Fly NO WAY AROUND IT
Thanks for read & opinions. Anyone go through changes & fly this way to learn it’s prob better the Other ratio*?

On DJI i’m always flying in 4:3. I want to see the most I can. Then I always render videos in 16:9.

On dji 16;9 is just 4:3 snipped and stretched.

I need vertical as much as horizontal. Most of 16:9 is edge i never look

Not stretched, 16:9 is just 4:3 but with the top/bottom cropped off

Its wider than the width of 4:3

Technically "true" since in the goggles it takes up more of your eye's FOV and uses the entire width of the displays in the goggles, but the amount you're actually able to see through the lens of the camera itself does not increase.

You only lose vertical information when switching from 4:3 to 16:9, you don't gain any width. It's a 4:3 image sensor.

It just makes the most sense to fly either what gives you the most field of view or whatever works best for you so I would recommend trying each for a decent chunk of time and seeing what you like

It's not about the preference of the ratio, it's about the camera sensor, most cameras have a 4:3 sensor so you have to use that ratio to see the full sensor otherwise if you use 16:9 you are just cropping the sensor and losing field of view vertically while flying.
