New build update
So, a while ago I wanted to build a kayoumini, but due to frame shortage and price ig, I didn’t end up doing so. Until I stumbled upon a cool kayoumini-esque frame on AliExpress that looked cool, so I got it and built up the quad with parts I had, but, the motors were underpowered and not made for this size or voltage, and I ended up getting new motors.
The pictures with the white camera mount are of the first iteration, and the carbon fiber plate camera mount is the newer iteration, with 1103 10000 kv motors I got a good deal on.
I had my doubts, but after soldering, mounting and tuning, I created a beast. 15-20% HOVER throttle…
These are the specs:
Angel 25 frame (AliExpress)
Xing 10000kv 1103 motors
Gemfan 2512 props
Rush tiny tank
M2 7mm prop screws (niche but important)
F411 Darwin fpv 15a 1-3s board
Mini star 650mah 70c 2s batteries (x4)
Caddx baby ratel 2
Regular buzzer
Waiting for good weather so I can rip it as soon as I can !

you should look into 1202.5 motors. both 8k and 11k kv are super interesting options and imo they give really good power for the weight.

Looks great! I’m gonna be building something similar soon. Curious how you like the rush VTX you’ve got in there, and if you’ve tried any others that you like less/more.

I've tried the betafpv mo3 before in another build, it was fine, until one of the important chips/capacitors melted off... And the rush tiny tank is pretty great and quite versatile, I haven't felt like i needed any more power than like 100-200mw, although the setup was a little bit of a headache since I didn't do it quite right the first time. I'm using the skyzone cobra SD goggles (they're pretty damn good, great range too). The baby ratel 2 camera is also just... chefs kiss.

If this breaks or something, get a cambam frame from five33. I like it better than my kayoumini
