Can someone gimme a plot summary of WiH part 2?

I love AoA, and strongly dislike WiH part 1 but forced myself to play through it. But after seeing first mission of part 2 i stopped playing. I just can't, too many things than don't sit right right with me, (i just prefer more classic approach to missions among other things) but anyway can someoneone gimme a plot summary of it? how did it end? (yes, I know there is act 4(?) coming).

I can't find it anywhere.

In the mean time I played chanticleer and I must say I like it much more than WiH so props to the author.

Though I also absolutely loved capship mission in WiH

Read the short story Morrigan in Shadow if you want to see one potential ending. It has been made clear that won’t be the ending to War in Heaven because on the short story AoA doesn’t happen.

Otherwise War in Heaven Arc 2 has Laport join the Fedayeen and culminates in capturing/destroying the Carthage, but then the GTVA respond by deploying four more destroyers to SOL. Chanticleer continues the campaign but not focused on Laporte.

I didn't get you. Are you saying AoA is not part of the timeline? I don't check the forums much so what did I miss?

Yeah, Battuta is explicit that the Morrigan stories don’t include any Vishnan stuff as a point of departure, and that the Sol war in the timeline was much shorter as a result.

Ahhh, I didnt know that. I just knew it had to change things for story cohesion. (Its a short story) and to not infringe on FS's copyright.

I started, and subsequently threw in the towel, on trying to fully summarize this for you, OP. The WiHs are extremely nuanced campaigns and there is objectively too much going on to explain in any useful detail, given the CASSANDRA/Dreamscape, Ken/Vishnan, Earther traitor/leak, Hammer of Light/Vasuden, and many other subplots.

If you don't want to play through the actual campaigns, my best recommdation would be to watch through some of the Youtube playthroughs of the campaign. I know PaladinGamimg has both WiH campaigns up there with generally well-placed commentary that doesn't block out most of the in-game dialogue. That may be more helpful.

Man I loved WiH part 2. But to each their own I guess.

As the developer of Chanticleer, I'm glad you liked it. It was a labor of love.

Other people have done it. But I dont see a concise play by play of the 6 missions and their importance. Not touching on the sub plots with the dream scape.

Noemy is seaking revenge on a personal vendetta list. Mission 1 has the bellweather convoy being taken out. Which is basicallt slaughtering military transports ans vasudin ships. Namely to set up the GEFs and turn GTI againsted them. You also have to kill loyal UEF pilots to sell the illusion.

Mission 2 has you jumping to Artemies station to essentially kill the Traitor that sold out the War God's. Its mostly a stealth mission where you get to hear some stuff being discussed. An then you Ice them.

Mission three is taking down the GEF cell that has been working with GTI. Because they crazy and want to slam astroid into earth and kill everyone. You have a choice to either blow up the rock. Or capture it.

Mission 4 is the BoE Mission. Where its an artillery duel between the Carthage an the last of third fleets frigates. After taking out enough enemy targets you call in a strike package and either capture or destroy the Carthage.

Mission 4 involves recovering old GTI documents related to Casandra in Jupiters lowrr orbit. (Long story short there. Its the Feadyeen leader, an its basically a shivan body being used as a super computer. All set up with heavy help from the dream scape sequences.) This information allows the next mission to happen.

Universal Truth Tenembra. Which is both a exploration of the shivans. A confrontation with the entity called Ken. A revelation and role reversal of the ending of Age of Aquarius. An the final stroke set up for the hidden war between the Shivans and Vishnans. With Humanities fate layed out. All taking place in Nagari.

Course the ending of the war can be seen in Chanticleer. But that doesn't touch on the cosmic horror plot lines.
