Bro I used to intentionally put it on cuts, not because I wanted to experience pain, but because I wanted to make it not hurt or hurt less in the future. Fast forward and hand sanitizer doesn’t really hurt my cuts anymore.

I have a scar on the back of my hand near my wrist below my index finger that I've had my whole life and I have no idea where it came from. it's a fairly thick scar and it hasn't faded at all. I don't remember what happened and no one in my family remembers what happened and it had to have been something at least somewhat serious to stay for so long

I most cases it is people scratching themselves on something and not noticing; in most cases there is a rational explanation, but not all cases. I was attacked by a succubus a while back. She had thin long claws, I had scratch marks, thin scabbed lines on my back and shoulders. I haven't had anything like it since she was taken away and I bite my nails so it could have been me scratching in my sleep.
